Overview

Pool Beach Nearby Ideal for Kids Parking Space RWC-Nice

Unwind in the comfort of this stylish holiday home overlooking the twinkling Mediterranean coastline, perched on the hill on the outskirts of the city of Nice on the French Riviera.

The Southeastern French region is well known for its sunny climate, beautiful seaside cities, sandy beaches, and medieval villages and is loved for its idyllic charm. Sharing one of its borders with Italy, it borrows much of the country’s welcoming customs while also taking inspiration from its cuisine and slow way of living.

Overlooking the quaint seaside town Villefranche-sur-Mer, Villa Pisco is situated a stone’s throw away from the seaside and is nestled between Nice and Monaco, just above a bay and right in front of an impressive green park, ideal for switching up the scenery as you please.

Lovers of modern minimalism will enjoy the contemporary vibe of the villa’s interiors, with comfortable furnishings and sleek appliances – note the marble kitchen with an American fridge making cooking that more inspiring. No matter the time of the day, light fills the apartment’s open-plan living and dining area through the sliding floor-to-ceiling windows which lead to a sun-flooded terrace. When you’re in need of motivation, the spectacular views of the ocean will inspire you to get up and exploring, with the sound of the lapping waves filling the entire room.

Bedrooms are equally sophisticated and boast a neutral yet warm colourway, with shades of white, cream and grey taking precedence. The master suite, with its own private terrace access, adds to the feeling of light and space, while an en-suite shower room is added for maximum comfort.

From the main terrace, only a few stairs separate you from the incredible outdoor pool and its patio equipped with sun loungers. This thoroughly picturesque setting is where you’ll be able to relax in total privacy while enjoying the stunning vista that this villa offers. With a shaded seated area as well as a large dining space you can enjoy those panoramic views at any time day or night – we recommend firing up the barbecue and hosting an al-fresco soirée with the entire family and friends.

The house is perched on a hill surrounded by greenery and other holiday villas, yet it feels supremely secluded thanks to the abundance of trees and flora around. You can enjoy beautiful views of Villefranche-sur-Mer, a small resort town full of colourful houses and a pretty bay with many sailboats. There you can stroll around the historic buildings and live life as the locals do – by grabbing coffee and pastry from one of the patisseries, wining and dining in ambient bistros or soaking up sun rays at the beach.

The historic Nice is also just a short, 15-minute drive away, sitting next to flashy Cannes and St Tropez, and with its host of attractions, it’s easy to spend an entire day there touring the sights, kicking back at one of its pebbly beaches or having an aperitif in one of its many restaurants and bars.

In only 20 minutes by car, you can reach Monaco – one of the most spectacular and richest cities on the French Riviera showcasing an array of world-class restaurants, intriguing bars, and a heap of history. The rich and famous flock to this small yet affluent principality on their helicopters, sailboats, and private yachts to visit its casinos and laze in the beach clubs.

If you love getting lost in nature, we recommend exploring the nearby hills and mountains. Trails such as Trail fort de la revère take you through winding paths all the way to medieval ruins or glorious lookouts from where you can see the entire French Riviera, as well as Mont Agel – a striking but scalable mountain between France and Monaco with an 18-hole golf course, air base and a royal family residence.

Perfectly positioned away from the hustle and bustle of Nice’s streets, the holiday home overlooks the idyllic seaside town, Villefranche-sur-Mer, where you can find local amenities, beaches, and plenty of nature. If you don’t feel like walking all the way down to the centre, the local supermarket is just a 15-minute walk away, while the closest restaurant can be found in 20 minutes on foot. Plage des Marinieres is also known to be one of the most striking beaches in Southern France.

Just outside the villa, you can find a stunning green park Parc du Vinaigrier, with many vantage spots such as the Belvédère du Vinaigrier which give you a panoramic view of the seaside and terracotta roofs dotted along the coast. If sweeping coastal views are more of your thing, Parc du Mont Boron is another nearby park offering walking trails amid the sea, mountain and city views and has a fortress Petite batterie and castle ruins Batterie du Mont Boron.

Get a hit of city and beach life in one by visiting Nice. The gorgeous French city is only a short drive away, and its buzzing dining and nightlife scene alongside pristine beaches are worth exploring. Walk along its narrow streets and cobbled alleyways all the way to the Cathédrale Saint-Nicolas de Nice – a byzantine-style place of Orthodox worship and gardens at the site of Tsarevich Nicholas' death. The sightseeing part of your trip doesn’t end there – the Gothic church Basilique Notre-Dame de l’Assomption is worth taking your camera out for, too. The city of pastels and sunshine invites you to finish your day at its retro-style promenade dotted with rainbow-hued parasols and splash in the sun on the wide pebble beach.

Monaco, a pocket-size municipality located only a 20-minute drive away is prodigious glitzy and enchanting, and it boasts everything any type of holiday-goer is looking for – a clifftop palace, prestigious casino, local distilleries, lovely beach, and landscaped gardens. It’s also the world’s second-smallest country, but what it lacks in size it makes up in fun. Spend mornings zipping to hidden coves aboard a yacht, enjoy sunset cocktails on the beach or visit the prince’s residence – a 13thcentury palace of grand splendour – before hitting the Monte Carlo Casino, admiring the Monaco Cathedral, or strolling around the aromatic gardens in Jardin Exotique.

Located just miles from Cannes and the Italian border, Antibes energises visitors with a Mediterranean Sea breeze flowing through its medieval streets and weather-beaten arches. The Old Town is in fact a centuries-old neighbourhood alive with activities, including an open-air market selling everything from fresh produce to artisanal items. You’ll find many of the town’s popular tourist sites in Vieille Ville, including the Cathedral Notre-Dame and the Musée Picasso, showcasing some of the artist’s work. On a nice day, walk along the Picasso Trail – a continued journey into Antibes’ artistic past which also inspired the artist back in the day.

Hop into the car to reach the city of Nice, with plenty of opportunities to take treasured holiday photographs. If you’re up for it, you can walk up Castle Hill for out-of-this-world views and enjoy a packed lunch among the ruins or visit the national sports museum Musée National du Sport.

In the nearby Antibes, take little holiday-goers to interesting places such as the Musée Picasso, hosting a revered Picasso collection in the chateau museum where he lived and worked during 1946, and walk along the coastal pathway which inspired much of his work. You can always end the day with an afternoon dip in the sea, and Antibes’ main strip of sand features plenty of space for families with restless little ones. Alternatively, head to Marine Park with regular dolphin shows, shark tank and interesting birds, plus a separate water park and golf course.

If you’re in need of a spontaneous day trip idea, simply let little ones choose by closing their eyes and putting a finger on a map – it’ll most likely end up at one of the nearby villages, all charming and unique in their own way. Notably, Beaulieu-sur-Mer is a charismatic town superb for families with children thanks to having a cluster of cafés, pleasant beaches, and amenities. The Cap Ferrat peninsula has pretty bays for snorkelling and swimming as well as a range of walking and hiking paths in harmonious surroundings.

Reviews

  • We enjoyed our stay a lot

    on 02/07/2022

Our group of 10 people spent a great week at the Villa Pisco at the end of June. We enjoyed our stay a lot.

The Villa provided us with nice accommodation, accompanied by a nice private pool and a terrace with great views over Nice.

    Warm recommendation!

  • Modern, clean and spacious

    Created on 16/08/2018

Modern, clean and spacious villa finished to a very high standard. Lovely terrace with views over Nice and Angel Bay, breathtaking at night. Good location for the Monaco Grand Prix and catching the train along the coast into Italy. Access to the villa fine in long-base Mercedes mini van but tricky around the skinny roads in Villefranche.
