About the surrounding area of Villa La RadeIn an exclusive French Riviera setting, Villa La Rade is set above Villefranche-sur-Mer, between Nice and Monaco in the Alpes-Maritimes department.
Villefranche-sur-Mer is just moments away - a short drive or 3km via winding roads and steps down to the heart of the old town, enjoying magnificent views as you descend. It’s such a charming place to spend time whether exploring the medieval lanes with shops and cafes, wandering around the marina, dining in a waterfront restaurant or climbing up to the citadel for more brilliant viewpoints. Head towards Plage Villefranche-sur-Mer for summer beach clubs and a gorgeous bay for swimming, then try out watersports such as kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding and parasailing.
Some incredible walks and hikes can be found in the region; from Villefranche-sur-Mer you can walk mainly along the water’s edge as far as Nice or to the beautiful harbour village of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat on the wonderful Cap Ferrat. Yet more hiking trails can be found across this idyllic peninsula and a visit to Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild, one of the French Riviera’s most iconic villas, is also a must.
Go to other stunning places close by including Beaulieu-sur-Mer with its delightful boutiques, café terraces, atmospheric nightlife and superb beaches including Plage de la Petite Afrique, then drive onwards to Èze – enjoy fantastic vistas from its Michelin starred restaurant, Chèvre D’Or.
Discover Monaco’s atmospheric daily market in La Condamine district and explore the municipality’s historic sights as well as soaking up the glitz of Monte Carlo. Then of course there is Nice so close, a much-loved French city with a wealth of art galleries, museums, parks and markets.
Art lovers should visit Matisse’s La Chapelle du Rosaire and the famous contemporary exhibitions at Fondation Maeght in Vence and St Paul de Vence or continue onwards to enchanting market towns such as Grasse and Valbonne, two gems of the Côte d'Azur hinterland.
Not forgetting the glamour of Cannes and the old-town charm of Antibes as well as picture perfect villages dotted across the hills behind such as Mougins, Biot and Opio.

Beaulieu-sur-Mer is another delightful seaside town for families with its café terraces, lovely beaches and watersports whilst the Cap Ferrat peninsula has pretty bays for snorkelling and swimming as well as a range of walking and hiking paths in stunning surroundings.
There is plenty to keep families busy in Monaco – look out for the shark lagoon in the Oceanographic Museum, visit the zoological gardens or admire the historic buildings in the heart of the municipality.
Then there’s go-karting and paint-balling in Grasse, tree-top adventures and other theme parks near Villeneuve-Loubet and a number of other family-friendly attractions north of Antibes from mini-golf to waterparks.

In an enclosed and secured garden in a secured domain. It offers a wide range of amenities: Spa with indoor pool crafted in natural stone and sauna, fully equipped gym (Technogym personal line), fully equipped cinema, outdoor heated pool with poolhouse and an outdoor kitchen, 6 en-suite bedrooms with private balconies and a secured garage.
