Overview
Millefeuille is a pretty, three-bedroom villa nestled in the hills of southeastern France’s Côte d'Azur region, just moments from the stunning French Riviera full of beautiful coastal towns.
The verdant landscape framing the village where the property is located makes it perfect for active holiday goers and nature enthusiasts while offering a slice of the city and seaside nearby. You’re also just a short walk away from the medieval village Vence, with an array of amenities and charming vistas that’ll make your stay more memorable.
Enter the house to find a large lounge area getting plenty of natural light thanks to the floor-to-ceiling glass doors, which can be pushed to one side to create an open-air space. The modern and stylish kitchen has sleek appliances and a tall breakfast table. Upstairs there’s another kitchen, a smaller living room and three double bedrooms, all designed with care and love for the traditional Provençal design – think oak wood drawers, framed mirrors, and patterned headboards.
A fragrant garden full of Mediterranean greenery surrounds the pool, offering plenty of room for soaking up the sunshine. There are loungers and plenty of furniture to relax after a refreshing dip, while the covered summer kitchen makes for a great spot to enjoy cherished moments and al-fresco dining in the close circle of family and friends. Beautiful views of the mountains in the near distance make it a true pleasure to spend your days outside.
In the closest village of Vence, which is accessible in 10 minutes by foot, you can find a couple of authentic restaurants, shops, and charismatic little streets, as well as some walking trails in the nearby territory. Get lost in the woods and breathe the fresh country air – you can discover places such as Baou des Blancs observation point or the castle La Bastide with panoramic views.
The picturesque Nice is also only a 30-minute drive away. Get to know the city’s artsy and historical past by visiting one of the many museums, galleries and notable landmarks, including byzantine-era and Gothic churches, or enjoy some fun in the sand on its wide pebbly beach. Backed by a 7km-long promenade, it’s an ideal place to work on your tan, grab a cocktail and enjoy a slower pace.
If you’re still looking for more things to do, head to Antibes, Cannes, or Monaco. Notably, Antibes boasts an admirable old town enclosed by 16th-century ramparts overlooking the Port Vauban marina and is home to some of the most immaculate beaches on this coast. Its traditional Provençal market Marché Provençal is worth visiting if you like sampling local delicacies and stocking up on organic ingredients. At the same time, its museums are an ode to Pablo Picasso, who used to live and work there.

Location
About the surrounding area of MillefeuilleThe area north of Nice and Antibes is popular among hikers and nature enthusiasts alike. Thanks to its proximity to the French Riviera coastline, you can look forward to making the most out of your holiday. The lovely countryside is interspersed with medieval, bastide towns where fairy-tale châteaux rise from the morning mist and where the mix of mountain and sea air makes you feel like you’re in a dream.
On lazy days, you can simply stroll to the local village Vence to pick up groceries, fresh croissants and coffee and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. The area is not too touristy, making it perfect for those who like to explore local highlights without the crowds.
If you fancy putting on your hiking boots, head to the nearby Parc des Noves – a scenic park and garden full of trees and greenery or enjoy stunning views from the Puy de Naouri observation deck. Although you’re more than welcome to get lost in the countryside (and then find your way back to the village), there are some notable hiking areas, such as Circuit des Blaquières and Baou des Blancs, worth marking on the map. Baou de la Gaude is another scenic point with a rocky descent offering great views of the valleys below.
For a livelier atmosphere, head to one of the larger villages and towns, such as Tourrettes-Sur-Loup and Cagnes-sur-Mer. Cagnes-sur-Mer is located on the French Riviera, and it stretches along a cove offering nearly 4 kilometres of sandy beach surrounded by hills. It was also the retreat and final address of the painter Pierre-Auguste Renoir who loved the city’s alluring landscapes.
When visiting Nice, you’ll be spoilt for choice. With an abundance of museums, restaurants, galleries, parks, and wonderful views, it really cannot be missed from your itinerary. Start your day by grabbing a pastry and espresso from one of the bakeries located in the old town, then explore open-air markets. If you love sightseeing, then the byzantine-style palace Cathédrale Saint-Nicolas de Nice and the Gothic church Basilique Notre-Dame de l’Assomption are the two main landmarks to visit. Other exciting activities in Nice include wine-tasting experiences in historic bars, fine dining and admiring the views from a rooftop of the Musée d'Art Moderne et d'Art Contemporain.
Region
The Provençal way of life is one that’s deeply tempting for anyone who’s been feeling the need to get away from it all. This is a place where the Mediterranean weather turns fields of corn and lavender into picture-perfect backdrops, where you can sip your locally bought wine and enjoy the landscapes before heading out and tackling them head-on with a range of great activities for families, groups of friends and adventurous foodies. Better yet, our range of villas in Provence and chateaux and holiday homes in the Côte d’Azur make the perfect base to explore this enchanting region!
Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesThis is a wonderful villa for a small family to spend some cherished time together. Children will love the garden and the spacious pool – an excellent place to practice their swimming skills. There’s plenty of entertainment inside, including TV and Wi-Fi, and fun days are surely on the horizon, with the beach just a short drive away.
The nearby forests present great opportunities for family picnics, hikes, and foraging, with horseback riding and other thrilling activities also available.
On a hot summer's day, children of all ages will love watching dolphin shows, admiring sharks and getting to know other marine animals at the Marineland of Antibes – a theme park founded in 1970 and spreading over 26 hectares of land.
After the visit, you can hop in the car and head to the city’s idyllic beach, loved by parents and children, thanks to its sandy shores and calm water. If beach time isn’t on the cards for whatever reason, what about paying a visit to one of Antibes’ museums? Musée Picasso showcases the artist’s work in a chateau where he used to live, while National Picasso Museum displays the artist’s sculptures and ceramics.
