This farmhouse offers the perfect blend of old and new with a traditional stone exterior and a fantastic modern interior. As soon as you step inside this magnificent home you will be in awe of its spacious and contemporary design. It boasts plenty of room to relax in with 4 bedrooms, one of which is a dormitory for 6 children, 2 bathrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, lounge and dining area. You even have access to an indoor spa during the early and late season.
Enter the fabulous garden terrace from the kitchen and living area where you can have a lovely family meal at the outdoor dining table. Take a dip in the inviting outdoor pool or soak up the sun on one of the several sun loungers provided. From the pool area you can admire the beautiful view over the hills. What’s more, within the grounds of this maison, you have access to table tennis, an outdoor shower and a hot tub.
This home is in an excellent location close to some of the Lot's pretty towns and villages. For example, just a 30-minute drive away from the property lies the hilltop village of Lauzerte, one of the most beautiful villages in France. Also only 30 minutes away by car sits the wonderful town of Cahors. You should also take the 35-minute car journey to Moissac to see the iconic Saint-Pierre Abbey.
Furthermore, there are many impressive nature spots which can be easily reached from Maison Platini. The magnificent Causses du Quercy Natural Regional Park is just a 50-minute drive away. Here you can take advantage of the brilliant hiking opportunities, go boating or explore the many remarkable caves. You can also explore the several picturesque villages dotted throughout the park such as the breathtaking Rocamadour, which is just over an hour's drive away from the villa. On top of this, the remarkable city of Toulouse is only 1 hour and 20 minutes away by car.
What you should know…
- The friendly yet unobtrusive owners live in another villa next door. They have their own private pool at the other side of the house and so you will still benefit from privacy and the exclusive use of the villa and its facilities.
- Please note that this home sleeps up to 12 guests - 6 adults and 6 children.
- The hot tub is not available to use in July & August.
- Due to the countryside location, a car is required in order to fully discover the region.
- Please note that published rates are only valid for the current year. Any bookings for subsequent years will be on request only and correct rates will be confirmed at the time of booking.

About the surrounding area of Maison PlatiniSurrounded by greenery and rolling hillsides, this holiday home offers the perfect escape within the Lot department. What’s more, Maison Platini is just a 10-minute drive away from the nearest amenities such as restaurants and a supermarket.
In addition, there are many wonderful sites to see and villages to visit close by. In just 30 minutes you can reach the sensational hilltop village of Lauzerte which overlooks the valleys and hills of Quercy Blanc. This medieval fortified town has often been described as the “Toledo of Quercy” and is a must-see during your stay in the Dordogne.
Furthermore, you can reach the captivating town of Cahors, which sits on the Lot River, in only 30 minutes by car. Here you can enjoy its famous red wine, spectacular gardens and admire its fabulous bridge Pont Valentré which dates all the way back to the Middle Ages. Moreover, drive just 35 minutes to the terrific town of Moissac where you can see the enchanting Saint-Pierre Abbey.
Additionally, at this villa you are within easy reach of the spell-binding Causses du Quercy Natural Regional Park where you can go hiking and boating as well as stopping by the several villages located here and exploring its prehistoric caves. The park is roughly a 50 minute drive from the property.
In a little over an hour you can also get to the extraordinary village of Rocamadour. This village attracts a huge number of visitors and pilgrims every year due to its sanctuaries.
One of the best historical landmarks to see at Causses du Quercy is the Pech Merle, a prehistoric centre and cave. You will have the pleasure of seeing authentic prehistoric paintings over 20,000 years old here and it is only 1 hour away by car from the villa. Another mind-blowing village to visit in this area is Saint-Cirq-Lapopie which looks straight out of a storybook and is only a 45-minute drive away.
You can also reach the exquisite and lively city of Toulouse in just 1 hour and 20 minutes. Often known as La Villa Rose due to its gorgeous terracotta buildings, you are sure to fall in love with this city. Whilst you’re here make sure to stop by the The Capitole building and the Basilique Saint Sernin.
Region
The pace of life in the Dordogne is languid, laid back and positively infectious. Relax in bucolic beauty as you drift along the Dordogne River, or wander among the forests and hillside of the Périgord Natural Park.
The foodie scene too, is a relaxed affair. Take your time over your lazy lunches of local duck, black truffles and goats cheese. If you’re feeling energetic, you can even hunt for them yourself. The wine here is second to none, with infamous grapes like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Chenin Blanc all having a huge presence here.
The Dordogne is also brimming with history. Castles and chateaux are scattered throughout the region, among the enchanting medieval villages. History of an altogether more ancient sort can also be explored in the incredible prehistoric cave drawings of Lascaux and Grotte de Rouffignac.

For a riveting family day out you can’t beat the brilliant QuercyLand, an hour and 10 minutes drive from the property. Here the kids can enjoy huge waterslides as well as an outdoor play area with inflatable castles, trampolines and paddle boats. For those who are more adventurous, pay extra to enter the Fun Zone where the children can play on high ropes and have a go on a zip-line. For younger children there is a toddler splash pool.

Magnificent countryside
We stayed here from the beginning of August with 11 people (6 adults + 5 children - teenagers). The house and pool are very nice. The view from the pool over the countryside is magnificent. The possibilities for walks from the house are numerous. The village of Castelnau is 10 minutes by car. Very nice ambience on Wednesday evening (tasting of regional dishes on the main square). We had a very pleasant stay in this house.
