Let the enchanting setting of the Dordogne Valley inspire you at Maison Coralli, a luxuriously appointed 15th-century priory. The estate has an idyllic setting in the heart of this French region known for its rich history and culinary heritage.
The home's architecture is typical of the region, and therefore the property has retained an old-worldly charm from the inside out. The house features plenty of space for gathering with a big group of friends or family, with the living room inviting you to unwind after a long day spent exploring. The decor has been carefully orchestrated using natural tones throughout, with modern details such as abstract wall paintings adding an arty touch to the period furniture and ornamental characteristics. All five bedrooms are bright and spacious with comfy beds, soft linen and plenty of sunshine coming in through the windows, ensuring you wake up energised and ready to start the day. Enjoy a home-cooked meal in the spacious kitchen or play pool in the charming library.
Outside, swim in the pool surrounded by a terrace full of sun loungers or find a spot underneath one of the trees to enjoy quiet time alone. The vast garden is perfect for a stroll, and many seating and dining corners let you enjoy al-fresco meals while soaking up the scenic views.
The Lot and Garonne region is fantastic for nature lovers and offers plenty of opportunities for an unforgettable countryside stay. The closest town is Tournon-d'Agenais, less than a 10-minute drive away. Here you can find some good restaurants, a supermarket and other amenities.
Also nearby, you’ll find another small town Montaigu-de-Quercy. You can escape the heat by driving to the nearby lake and its beach, Montaigu Plage, with soft sand for sunbathing and water sports.
If you'd like to visit a more bustling destination, a 30-minute drive will take you to Villeneuve-sur-Lot – a historic bastide town. There's plenty to do here – such as admiring the architecture, peeking into medieval churches and soaking up the sunshine from terraced cafés and restaurants.
The diverse region is a true haven for nature and outdoor lovers, offering horse riding, cycling, mountain biking, golf and fishing activities.

Location
About the surrounding area of Maison CoralliNestled in southwestern France's countryside, Maison Coralli is ideally positioned to explore the Lot and Garonne and the Dordogne department, known for their history and gastronomy.
Many small villages are dotted in this area, so you are never too far from local amenities when needed. In the nearby Montaigu-de-Quercy, a 10-minute drive away, you can find a couple of restaurants and a supermarket to stock up on essentials for your al-fresco soirées. There are also a couple of quiet streets to wander around.
Moisac is another town worth exploring, as it's situated at the confluence of the rivers Garonne and Tarn at the Canal de Garonne, offering picturesque waterside views from its many vantage points. You can also stroll around the Port de Moissac marina, admire fishing and sailboats, or drive along the historic Pont Napoléon de Moissac bridge.
These rivers offer many activities, such as kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding or boat trips. In the nearby Confluence de la Garonne et du Tarn area, you'll be treated to unspoiled views as you walk through the greenery, spotting wildlife and migratory birds.
A larger city where you can travel to when looking for some hustle and bustle is Montauban, located a 1-hour drive away. On the banks of the Tarn River, it's primarily constructed using the attractive pink stone found in the region, just like the city of Toulouse to the south. The city has two main squares ideal for people watching with a cup of coffee or ice cream, as well as streets that follow the traditional grid pattern of a bastide town and are filled with shops and restaurants. There's plenty to do here for an entire day, such as strolling around the beautiful Jardin des Plantes botanical garden, walking around the port, or visiting the city's museums for a proper dose of culture – notable ones include Musée Ingres Bourdelle, Le Musée des Jouets and Muséum d'Histoire Naturelle Victor Brun.
Region
The pace of life in the Dordogne is languid, laid back and positively infectious. Relax in bucolic beauty as you drift along the Dordogne River, or wander among the forests and hillside of the Périgord Natural Park.
The foodie scene too, is a relaxed affair. Take your time over your lazy lunches of local duck, black truffles and goats cheese. If you’re feeling energetic, you can even hunt for them yourself. The wine here is second to none, with infamous grapes like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Chenin Blanc all having a huge presence here.
The Dordogne is also brimming with history. Castles and chateaux are scattered throughout the region, among the enchanting medieval villages. History of an altogether more ancient sort can also be explored in the incredible prehistoric cave drawings of Lascaux and Grotte de Rouffignac.

Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesChildren will love exploring prehistoric caves, natural parks, historic castles or even a magnificent hot air balloon ride across this stunning region.
Alternatively, you can plan a day trip to Souillac and visit its toy museum, Musée de l'Automate, or spend the day at Quercyland, a waterpark with plenty of water slides, pools and lounge areas for parents. Another water park nearby is Parc de loisirs la Saule, conveniently located on the Dordogne River and close to the village of Carennac.
The Dordogne River makes this area more enticing. There are plenty of waterside activities to enjoy with the entire family, such as canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding, boat trips, cycling, and walking through marshes and trails rich in fauna. The more adventurous may enjoy tree-top activities in the forests near Sarlat.
