Sitting just five meters from the beach, Villa Rasa is a truly idyllic holiday home, rising out of Pag’s rocky landscape to offer you a modern and charming base for your holiday. The island of Pag is perfect for those looking to escape the busy tourist towns, with its barren and rocky landscape offering the definition of peace and tranquillity. Beautiful beaches form a ring around the island, so you can explore the coast, enjoying time to yourself and quality time with your loved ones.
The villa itself is spread over three floors, each one as welcoming and relaxed as the last. With a separate living area on each floor the villa is ideal for several families travelling together, or large groups where everyone wants their own space. The kitchens on each floor are fully-equipped and modern, with an intimate dining table and comfy sofas in the same room so you can gather together after busy days exploring the island. Throughout the entire villa there are six bedrooms, all with completely relaxed furnishings and atmospheres.
The rooms are brought alive by the natural sunlight that shines in through windows and doors. Just imagine waking up each morning with no alarm, just the sun streaming in through your window, replacing your usual morning shower with a quick dip in the sea!
The true magic of this villa is outside, where pine trees rise from the sand, offering you shelter from the sun, letting you sit under their dappled light, absorbing the stunning sea views. The garden is filled with Dalmatian herbs, adding a lovely fragrance to the terrace, helping to immerse you in this beautiful environment. The private swimming pool sits on the terrace and can be enclosed during the cooler months, so you can enjoy it even when it is raining. With counter-current swimming built in, the pool is perfect for budding swimmers. The villa boasts various outdoor seating areas and a beautiful outdoor dining area. What you should know…
- During the cooler months of the year the heated swimming pool can be enclosed, making it a joy to swim even if it is raining
- The atmosphere by the villa is completely tranquil, but if you choose to travel to the town of Novalja, be prepared for a livelier party atmosphere!

About the surrounding area of Villa RasaVilla Rasa is perfect for those looking to escape the busy tourist towns, located on the fascinating island of Pag. Unlike the other Croatian islands, Pag is not so famous, but here you will find the true tranquillity of the Adriatic. The charming villa is positioned just five meters from the beach and beautiful blue sea, making it easy to head down any time you want, waking yourself up each morning by a refreshing dip in the water!
You can reach this enchanting island from Zadar, a 30-minute drive away. As you start the drive from Zadar the roads are bordered by wine fields and agricultural land, with the usual luscious Croatian landscape.
As you reach Pag, the landscape completely changes. The island stretches out like a barren and rocky headland, looking alike to a moon landscape. The Adriatic is a steely blue against the rock, a dramatic definition that it is hard to look away from. When the sky is stormy, the island becomes the most dramatic-looking place in the whole of Croatia! The karstic rock of the island forms a moonscape defined by two mountain ridges, with patches of shrubs and a dozen or so villages and hamlets.
The island has a long-standing history of cheese and wine-making, so you could make that the focus of your trip, heading out to try all the local delicacies! On the island you will find plenty of restaurants, serving up traditional Dalmatian cuisine, as well as classics from across the world, so you can easily find something to your choosing.
Although the rest of the island is incredibly tranquil, the town of Novalja, a 30-minute drive away has become a hot spot for summer nightlife! Zrće Beach and the town are a clubbing mecca, with crowds of people coming each summer to enjoy the lively atmosphere!
With a beach on your doorstep, you may be happy to relax there, however there are other sand and pebble beaches that form a ring around the island, dotted along the rocky coast, each forming its own oasis. As well as the outstanding nature, you can visit the 15th-century Church of St. George which was once part of Pag town’s defensive walls, or the ruins of a Franciscan monastery in the Old Town of Pag.

Located right on the beachfront, kids will be in complete heaven, running down into the sea, splashing in the water and sheltering from the heat under the pine trees on the shore. The villa itself boasts a spacious terrace, with plenty of room to play outdoors, whilst parents sit by keeping a quiet eye. Cooking on the barbecue and dining al-fresco is always popular with families, encouraging everyone to eat together, catching up properly away from busy day to day lives. The villa’s private swimming pool is heated, a joy for any squeamish children that don’t like cold water! The pool can also be enclosed during the winter months, so you can swim even if it is raining, perfect for kids that have energy to burn.
Inside, the villa’s layout is simple and relaxed. With a living space and kitchen on every floor, the villa suits two or three families that are travelling together, with everyone getting their own space. These separate living spaces also allow kids and adults to enjoy time apart, with kids watching movies upstairs as adults continue to chat and enjoy local wine downstairs!
The island of Pag tends to be a popular choice with families, positioned away from the busy tourist towns so you can enjoy some quiet time as a family. The island offers plenty of beaches with a mix of sandy and pebble shores so kids can pick their favourite, maybe even trying out some water sports during the holiday! Simuni Beach, very near to the villa is a popular favourite for families, with safe shores and plenty of room to play. For older teenagers, the party town of Novalja may be a popular excursion, with a lively atmosphere and lots of young people looking to dance on Zrće Beach.
For days out, boat trips are a popular choice for a whole family. There are plenty of family run businesses running trips out and around the island, showing you secret coves for swimming and taking you for lunch at the local favourites!
