Location
About the surrounding area of Villa LezelVilla Lezel sits quietly, just seventy metres from the beach, in Razanj, a charming fishing and tourist village. It is a lovely location for a spot of switch off. There are pretty beaches and lush pine forests nearby. The nearby Rogoznica offers more entertainment, an excellent selection of restaurants and more shops. It is well-known for its ‘Rogoznica fishermen’s evening’. Rogoznica lies on a peninsula that was formally the island of Koper. The town has one of the most beautiful ports and locals engage in farming, fishing and tourism. It boasts some wonderful, historic churches and a salt lake called ‘Dragon’s Eye. The beaches are lovely with plenty of watersports.
Primosten boasts sublime views along the coast and islands, especially at sunset. It enjoys cafes, beach bars and a quayside buzzing with diners. It is much busier than Razanj with plenty of tourists strolling along its elegant paved promenade. The Our Lady of Loretto statue, a shrine to the Virgin Mary, stands above Primosten on Gaj hill. The site offers panoramic vistas of the resort. Primosten offers some lovely beaches, the most famous being Raduca Beach. The town also boasts one of the best known clubs in Croatia, Aurora, which regularly attracts the very best DJ’s.
Also nearby is the small town of Sevid which lies close to both Trogir. Sevid enjoys a delightful bay with several islets in front of it. The coast is rocky with several pebble beaches and some concrete sunbathing decks. It is popular for snorkeling, diving and exploring the coast and its abundant underwater life. Sevid snoozes away as time appears to have stood still in this tranquil Dalmatian village with its whitewashed villas and terracotta roofs following the bay.
Next to Sevid is Vinisce, a small, sleepy fishing village 30km from Split. It is situated in a beautiful cove with warm, crystal clear sea and among attractive olive groves. It enjoys several markets, bakeries, restaurants, café bars and a small harbour for fishing boats. During the summer, the people of Vinisce organise summer festivals where you can sample homemade specialities and wines and enjoy the outdoor evening concerts whilst sitting in a harbour side café.
Seget Donji boasts numerous restaurants serving delicious Dalmatian cuisine and local wines. There is a water taxi at the beach where you can head over to Trogir. The promenade is delightful and leads you towards the end of the bay and the wonderful Medena complex with excellent facilities and watersports. This pretty village is a wonderful starting point for hikers and bikers. The sparkling new Marina Baotic is very attractive with a fantastic restaurant.
If you want to travel a little further, you can head to Trogir, Split, the spendid Krka waterfalls and Sibenik. Trogir enjoys a magical blend of beaches, entertainment, scenery and restaurants. It is set within medieval walls on a tiny island, linked by bridges to both the mainland and to the far larger Ciovo Island. The Cipiko Palaces and St. Lawrence Cathedral are examples of the town’s incredible architecture. Building work started on the cathedral in 1213 though the main part wasn’t completed until 1250 and the bell tower was built between the 14th and 16th centuries. Visitors can climb the bell tower to appreciate the spectacular views from the top. The Cipiko Palaces were home to the town’s noble family in the 15th century. Trogir was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1997. On summer nights everyone leaves the knotted, maze-like marble streets and heads to the wide seaside promenade lined with cafes, bars, restaurants and luxury yachts. You will find local honeys, wines, olive oils and grappa amongst the colourful local fruit and vegetable produce at the wonderful market.
Sibenik is the oldest native Croatian city on the Adriatic, located at the mouth of the Krka River. It is famous for its fortresses, the Cathedral of St Jacob, St Francis Church, St Dominic’s Church and the Four Wells. There are several excellent museums and galleries too. Sibenik hosts many popular events including the International Children’s Festival, Sibenik Evening, Evenings of Dalmation Chansons and Sibenik Cultural Summer.

Best Suited For: All AgesChildren enjoy staying at Villa Lezel. The pool and garden are very popular. It is also great being so close to the beach.
There are many little coves and beaches close by including Primosten’s lovely Velika Raduca Beach, Rozac Beach, Okrug Beach, Mavarstica Beach, Copacabana Beach and Marinova Draga Beach. If you head down to Trogir, you can go to Ciovo Island where you will find Okrug Gornji Beach.
Trogir has much to enjoy with the tower of St Lawrence Cathedral to climb and the walls of Fortress Kamerlengo to scale. Teenagers will love the Laganini Beach Club on Ciovo with its laid back appeal and lounge music. Croatia is perfect for eating out as the atmosphere is so laid back and family orientated. Everywhere you will see extended families out, with all generations dancing and singing in little squares.
Boat trips can be taken from many places including Primosten, Trogir or Split to the wonderful Croatian islands. The trips usually include swimming and snorkeling in the sea. The Blue Lagoon on Dvrenik Island is spectacular. You can visit Bisevo Island and the coastal town of Komiza and explore the epic Blue Cave and Stiniva Bay. The Blue Cave is so amazing with the blue light. It is twenty four metres long and ten to twelve metres wide with two openings. The underwater canopy through the cave floods with sunlight which, when it passes through the water at first disappears and then fills the entire cave with a silver-blue resin.
The Krka National Park is a fabulous day out from the villa with children. The Skradinski Buk and Roski slap waterfalls are so amazing. Just remember to take swimming costumes as you can swim in the water there. The Kornati National Park is an archipelago of eighty nine small islands that is best seen by private boat tour. Local products such as olive oil, honey, natural cosmetics and artifacts can be bought as souvenirs.
