What Oliver loves…
- The five person jacuzzi is great especially in the evenings watching the sunset and the stars overhead.
- The additional services are fantastic. An inhouse chef prepared and cooked our final meal and it was well worth is- delish!
- Due to the remote location of the villa, the stars shine even brighter so keep a look out for constellations.
- The owners have two beautiful restaurants on the Cetina river and they have a great deal for guests staying at Casa Eda!
Situated in the heart of the mountains, surrounded by refreshing greenery is the secluded Casa Eda, the ideal base for your much needed getaway.
The views of the landscape surround you as you enter the outdoor patio of the villa. The pool is not only heated but comes with hydromassage, a geyser, and counter-current swimming programme- great for an early morning swim. It is also a no chlorine cleaning system. Cool down from an afternoon under the sun under the refreshing outdoor shower. On the same patio, set back from the pool, is a jacuzzi, large enough to seat five guests. With ambient lighting after sunset, you can relax and enjoy the bubbles under the canopy of stars. Eight deck chairs are scattered around with large open parasols adding much needed shade.
On the other side of the villa is an elevated patio with table tennis and trampoline- great for a in-house championship or keeping the children entertained while you enjoy a quiet moment by the pool. Shrubs and greenery mark the boundary of the villa. Under the shelter of the first-floor balcony lies an outdoor dining table seating eight guests. Orange seat cushions is a playful addition to this set while high airways leap overhead. Wide patio doors guide you into the main indoor family space.
A second dining table with comfortable grey chairs sits on the right as you enter the open-plan ground floor. Modern bubble lighting hangs overhead while wooden flooring continues throughout. A kitchen and breakfast bar is towards the back of the room while strip lighting highlights the countertops and up-to-date appliances including wine cooler, oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and importantly a coffee maker. At an additional cost, you can stock the shelves from your phone by ordering your groceries online and booking a delivery time that suits you. Or hire an in-house chef to cater to your every culinary need.
The lounge area is framed on the left, underneath a halo of lighting. A flat-screen TV is on the wall at the end of two long grey couches facing each other. A separate family bathroom, plus a gym and games room are off the main living space with a TV, squishy chairs and games console. The first bedroom is on the ground floor with easy access to the main communal space and patio. Comfort is key with a king sized bed and ensuite with walk-in shower. Mirrored wardrobes provide plenty of storage while soft wooden furnishings and textured headboard make this space calming.
The remaining bedrooms are located on the first floor, all light, spacious, with detailed textured hardboards and bedding. Two of the bedrooms have king-sized beds while the fourth is a twin room- ideal for sharing with friends or for younger ones. All rooms have air-conditioning, access to a shared balcony and TV. The ensuites with each room are open with either a bath or walk-in showers and dual sinks. One bedroom even has the luxury of a walk-in wardrobe. The first-floor balcony has outdoor seating to relax and soak up a quiet minute while looking over the pool and landscape.
A professional masseuse is on hand to take to last of your stresses away at an additional cost. Or have a hand at the open sea and hire a sailing boat and skipper at an additional cost as well as an organised boat tour to explore the Adriatic Sea. If you have any queries please don’t hesitate to ask!

Nestled at the foot of the mountain Mosor, near the small village Gata, is the secluded Casa Eda. Surrounded by peace and tranquillity you will wake to choruses of bird songs. See the mountains change colour with the movement of the sun, glowing amber as the sun descends. Sveti Jure is a mountain park north of the villa, and offers a paved road suitable for cycling and hiking to the summit chapel. The views from the top are staggering as the Adriatic sea and coastline spread out before you.
Casa Eda is a mere nine km from the sea, the closest port town being Omiš. Here the mountains meet the shoreline, creating an impressive rocky coast with a range of pebble and sandy beaches. The beautiful sandy beach in Duće is only 10 km away and perfect for enjoying the cooling sea waters.
Omiš is also home to the adventure you’ve been waiting for. See Croatia like never before on a ziplining adventure. Reaching 150 metres above ground level the whole family will enjoy flying down the mountain. Soar and feel the rush of the wind whizzing past you as the professional guides lead you safely over the treetops, with an overall length of 2100 metres of zipline.
Despite this rural setting, you are only sixteen miles south of the beloved city of Split. With bricked architecture that dates back nearly two thousand years ago, you can immerse yourself in the rich history of this city. See how the people of Split have reclaimed a Roman Emperors’ home when visiting Diocletian’s Palace. Surrounded by high columns, detailed entrances and imposing arches you can immerse yourself in the past while exploring a host of shops, bars and cafes that now reside within its walls. It’s not difficult to find either as its walls are integrated into the narrow streets of the old town, merging the palace into the rest of the city. The alleys create a maze into the past, with detailed bricked architecture withstanding all that has come after its erection, you can immerse yourself in the rich history of this city.
The Adriatic Sea is a cooling break from the Croatian sunshine. Dance and swim in the shallows of the cooling waters or enjoy the rays from the shore of several beaches along the coast. There are peddle boat rentals available if you wanted to take a spin on the waters, or delve deeper and bring snorkels to see the colours and home of the creatures who live below the surface. For the more adventurous ones, there are many water sports activities dotted along the coast including water skiing, parasailing, scuba diving and boat trips.
Island hopping is a great way to spend a day submersing yourself in the uniqueness of the Adriatic coast. Neighbouring islands of Brač, Vis and Korčula are filled with hidden coves, white sandy beaches, fishing villages and ancient woodland, and are easily accessible for a day’s adventure via ferry from Split.
The Dalmatian coast is a veritable treasure trove of stunning landscapes and historic towns, and Omis, situated halfway between the famous port city of Split and the energetic town of Maksarka, is no exception. With its rich history, scenic backdrop, and a plethora of attractions, Omis stands out as a unique and captivating destination for those seeking to explore the charm of Croatia. The town's history is deeply intertwined with its dramatic geographical setting, which is dominated by the imposing Cetina River Canyon and the Mosor Mountain Range.
The old town of Omis, with its narrow cobblestone streets and stone houses, is a place where history and culture converge. It’s a charming place to explore on foot and soak up the local way of life. There are a number of historic churches that you’ll come across while exploring - the Church of St. Michael, the Church of St. Peter, and the Church of St. Rocco, which all showcase intricate architectural details and a sense of reverence. The old town is also home to an abundance of restaurants, cafes, and local shops, it’s an excellent spot to savour authentic Croatian dishes and find unique souvenirs.
One of the most prominent historical attractions in the town is the Mirabella Fortress, often called Peovica. Perched high on a rocky outcrop, this fortress was built during the 13th century and was used as a hideout by the notorious Omis pirates who terrorised the Adriatic Sea. Today, visitors can climb up the steep path to the fortress and enjoy panoramic views of the town, the coast, and the surrounding landscapes.
Omis boasts a pristine stretch of coastline with a variety of beaches, each catering to different tastes. One of the most popular is the sandy beach at the mouth of the Cetina River, offering calm waters perfect for swimming and sunbathing. Adventurous spirits may prefer the pebbly beach of Brzet, known for its perfect conditions for windsurfing and kitesurfing. Just a short drive from Omis, there's the small village of Stanici, which is renowned for its unspoiled beaches and crystal-clear waters. It's a serene place to relax and escape the crowds often found in more touristy locations.
The Cetina River is a defining feature of Omis, and one of the most exhilarating activities here is to take a rafting excursion along its emerald waters. The river cuts through the impressive Cetina Canyon, creating a thrilling white-water rafting experience that appeals to adventure seekers and nature lovers alike. The journey offers panoramic views of the rugged cliffs, lush forests, and the charming villages that dot the landscape.
The nearby Biokovo Nature Park is an outstanding natural attraction. The Biokovo Mountain Range, part of the Dinaric Alps, offers incredible hiking opportunities, with well-marked trails leading to panoramic viewpoints where you can marvel at the Adriatic Sea and the islands scattered along the coast. The juxtaposition of the rugged mountain terrain and the azure waters is simply stunning and will leave a lasting impression.
The history, natural beauty, and cultural vitality of Omis combine to create a destination that is rich in character and charm. Whether you're seeking adventure on the Cetina River, exploring the medieval fortresses, or simply savouring the local cuisine, Omis has something to offer every traveller who ventures to this utterly enchanting corner of the Dalmatian coast.

Plus with the bonus of an in house chef at a extra cost, you can spend even more time together in the sunshine. Together with friends we were looking for a beautiful luxury villa with a swimming pool, jacuzzi, several bathrooms and preferably also a table tennis table. So that after a period of hard work we can relax and enjoy ourselves in one place. Casa Eda has it all, and even more than we actually asked for. We were welcomed and surprised by the owners Tea and Filip and their lovely children. During the holidays I was able to ask all my questions to Tea via whatsapp. She is really a very sweet and service-oriented woman who is ready to help you any time of the day. She even made reservations for us for a boat trip, for example, or she could tell us where we could do a COVID rapid test before the return trip. They also brought a cake for our friend's birthday. We really enjoyed this beautiful villa very much. Nicely decorated, very clean, and has everything you need.
The Villa was absolutely a dream!!! It is really clean, modern and looks exactly like on the photos. A special thanks goes to Tea and her husband, the owner of the villa. Tea was a great host, very friendly, helpful and open-minded. Only a few things can be improved: - the automatic pool waterfall and geyser does not make sense as it often goes on when you are not in the water - the Internet only works in the ground floor and as it is mentioned in the description you really NEED a car because the village itself is very small and does not offer a lot. All in all we had an awesome stay and I can absolutely recommend the Casa Eda!
A true "royal" stay at this amazing place called Casa Eda. A real paradise and the world's best host. Upon arrival the host couple was amazing. We were the first guests and we have been treated like royalty. The owners have helped us find local stores, places and restaurants. The owners wife made us reservations and we communicated in a group chat on WhatsApp. At any time of the day they were available to us. The also own and run two amazing restaurants down at the river in Omis. We loved eating there. As their guests, we always had a table in prime location. And special prepared food. One time the owner made us a special meal that took almost 3 hours to prepare. It was a slow roasted (over open coal) octopus with potatoes. Amazing. The house itself has everything you can ask for. The kids were surprised about the PS4 and the awesome games. The house was stacked with any household item you can think of!
