Spectacular sunset views across the sea and nearby islands await you in Villa Tresic, a unique and enchanting villa for up to eight guests to enjoy the delights of rural Croatia.

Indeed, this villa is incredibly stylish inside and out, with immense living spaces and sublime bedrooms. Built in just 2014, this is a supremely modern home that will delight the most discerning guests, with its jaw-dropping contemporary designs and warm, bright interiors. Your main living space is fabulously open-plan. A lengthy sofa to one side invites the whole group to get cosy in front of the TV, while there’s a long marble dining table beside it, and a fantastic kitchen along the back wall with a great separate island. All around the room are floor-to-ceiling French doors, providing the most majestic views. And finally, if you want to work up a sweat and keep in shape, there’s a gym in the villa too, so you can keep up your healthy habits in between holiday fun!

For rest and relaxation in privacy, retire to one of four sublime bedrooms. Vibrant patterns and bursts of colour against an otherwise monochrome palette bring each room to life, and all feature a wonderful double bed, tons of space, seating and storage. Several of the rooms enjoy an immense set of patio doors which stretch the length and height of the exterior wall, delivering you right into this enchanting garden. And what’s more – all of these four fabulous rooms are accompanied by equally breath-taking bathrooms! Each is as spacious, sleek and elegant as the bedrooms, with striking geometric designs, statement round mirrors and huge walk-in showers for the most invigorating wake-up each day.

The real wonder of the villa is nestled amid this exquisite garden, with countless terraces, lawns and even a badminton court! Settle into this immense pool-terrace where you can sunbathe to your heart’s content in between dips in this tremendous pool while gazing out over these scintillating sunset colours across the sky and sea. As well as these sea-views, you can also enjoy mesmerising views over the town of Makarska and the islands of Hvar and Brač from all around your garden and interiors. Casual seating is distributed throughout every idyllic spot you can find, including lots of large sofas, coffee tables and of course fabulous loungers. And finally – for a spot of luxury, enjoy alfresco dining in this superb environment, gazing out across the sea, islands and rich natural surroundings.

Nestled up in the beautiful hills, you’re just seven minutes away from the dazzling Park šuma Osejava and its Nugal beach, so you’ll find fun and adventure just a stone’s throw away. The wonderful town of Makarska, meanwhile, just 10 minutes away, is a calm haven along this picturesque coastline, while you’re only about 65km from the city of Split!

Lined by fragrant pinewoods, this famous coastline boasts some of the most impressive beaches in Europe, with a palm-lined promenade framing the turquoise expanse beautifully.

The traditional town of Makarska is quaint and charming and bursts with life in the summer months – with pavement cafes and restaurants about and a wondrous church at the heart of it. Markets selling everything from fresh produce, including seasonal fruit and vegetables, to local wares, line the streets and the beautiful harbour, from where you can take trips out to the many surrounding islands, including the famous Hvar and Brac.

From breathtaking scenery, a rich history and culture and a world-famous culinary scene – you will find it all in Croatia! A myriad of enchanting towns and villages are nestled among the undulating countryside of the interior, and if you take a boat trip through the 3000+ islands you’ll see traditional buildings dotting the coastline of each! Active holiday-makers will be delighted with the offerings, including windsurfing, scuba diving, rock climbing, hang-gliding and walking. Both along the dramatic coastal paths and in the mountains inland, you will find an abundance of pristine paths for cycling and rugged off-road hiking trails. Makarska, perched between the Biokovo mountain range and the glistening waters of the Adriatic Sea, is a stunning destination where nature's grandeur takes centre stage. The imposing mountains rise dramatically behind the town, creating a striking backdrop for the entire region. With its distinct Mediterranean climate, visitors can expect warm summers and mild winters, making it an ideal year-round destination.

The Riva - the town's seafront promenade - is a focal point of the community, where locals and visitors alike gather to soak up the Mediterranean atmosphere. Lined with palm trees and a variety of cafes, restaurants, and boutiques, the Riva is the perfect place to unwind, take in the scenic views of the sea and settle into the Croatian pace of life. As the sun sets over the Adriatic, Makarska comes alive with a vibrant nightlife scene. The Riva transforms into a lively hub of entertainment, with street performers, live music, DJ sets, and a chance to mingle with locals and fellow travellers.

If you're a history enthusiast, Makarska's rich heritage and historic sites will surely pique your interest. The Church of St. Mark, built in the early 18th century, stands as a testament to the region's strong Catholic tradition. The Baroque architecture and stunning altarpieces make it a notable religious landmark.

For a deeper dive into the past, the Makarska Franciscan Monastery, founded in the 16th century, houses an impressive collection of artefacts including ancient manuscripts and artwork. The monastery's cloister and church are architectural marvels in their own right. Within the complex, the Malacological Museum showcases an extensive collection of seashells, a testament to the region's maritime heritage.

The Makarska Riviera boasts a series of blue-flag beaches and crystal-clear waters, ensuring a perfect setting for relaxation and water activities. The most famous is the Makarska Beach itself, stretching for almost 2 kilometres and offering a plethora of water sports, sunbathing spots, and beachfront cafes. While sunbathing and swimming are the primary draws, you can also indulge in snorkelling, paddle-boarding, and jet skiing to experience the vibrant underwater world of the Adriatic.

Heading north along the Makarska Riviera, you’ll come to the town of Brela, famed for its pristine beaches. One of the best, Punta Rata, is often ranked among the most beautiful beaches in the world. The crystal-clear waters and the iconic Brela Rock jutting from the sea make it a picture-perfect spot for sunbathing and swimming.

The Biokovo Nature Park, often overshadowed by the coast, offers a different but equally wonderful experience. Here, the rugged mountain terrain allows for hiking, trekking, and adventure in the heart of nature. There are several well-marked trails that lead you through lush forests, up to the highest peak of Sveti Jure (St. George), providing breathtaking panoramic views of the Adriatic and the surrounding islands.

Day trips to nearby destinations are also a great way to explore the broader region. The islands of Hvar and Brač are easily accessible by ferry and make for fantastic day excursions. Hvar is known for its beautiful old town and lavender fields, while Brač is famous for the stunning Zlatni Rat beach.

This enchanting coastal region, characterised by its stunning beaches, rugged mountains, and vibrant atmosphere, is undoubtedly a place that leaves a lasting impression. It’s a must-visit for anyone looking to explore the diversity of the Dalmatian region. Whether you're a nature lover, history buff, or simply in search of a relaxing coastal escape, Makarska offers something for every traveller.
