Located in Ružići, around 11km north of stunning Opatija, Villa Fede is a beautifully appointed 5-bedroom villa which sits in its garden with a spacious terrace. The villa offers some exceptional facilities, with a gym, wellness area with sauna, a tennis court and an outdoor swimming pool just some of its many attractions.
With the beautiful Adriatic Coast just a short drive away, Villa Fede has some of north Croatia’s most enchanting destinations within easy reach. It’s also only 20 minutes from the Slovenian border and around 1 hour’s drive from Italy. Local amenities are nearby too, with stores and restaurants within 4km.
The pool terrace offers some areas for relaxing, with sun loungers and sofas, and the children can look forward to their playground. In addition to the tennis court, gym and wellness centre, there’s a dining area, barbecue and a lovely tavern with a wine cellar – and even a special house for your dog.
Inside, you’ll find two very spacious living rooms and three gorgeous kitchens equipped with everything you could think of, down to a smoothie maker, wine cooler, espresso machine and even the essential food items like oil, vinegar and sugar.
The five bedrooms are complemented by five modern bathrooms and have air-conditioning, satellite TV and a safe. Wi-Fi covers the whole villa, and there are plenty more great features to look out for including a PlayStation, table football, billiards table and a whirlpool bath. However you choose to relax, Villa Fede has it covered – there are even six bicycles you can borrow to go exploring this incredible region.
Nearby Opatija is a coastal gem, attracting discerning visitors with its high-quality dining, nightlife and beautiful ocean outlook. Southwest of Ružići, the massive Učka Nature Park is a great place to take those bikes – a glorious, mountainous stretch bordering the Adriatic. Just south of Opatija, don’t miss pretty Ičići with its Blue Flag beach and marina – one of the highlights of the Opatija Riviera.

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa FedeOpatija is an elegant resort which is something of a jewel on the Adriatic coast. The first hotels in the region were built in Opatija, which gives a clue to its long-standing status as a travel destination of choice for the discerning visitor. The Kvarner Riviera is still renowned for its high-quality dining, fine spas and, of course, wonderful ocean views. A relaxing stroll along Opatija’s promenade, the Lungomare, will get you acquainted with those.
As befits its standing, the city is a place where people go to ‘see and be seen’, with some great nightlife. It’s the home of several clubs located down by the harbour, a casino, and plenty of good bars and restaurants. Many of these are of excellent quality, and showcase the finest food and drink of the region. Enjoying the freshest of seafood at Kvarner Bay, along with a glass of an Istrian wine such as Malvazija, is something you shouldn’t miss.
The wonderfully scenic landscapes of the nearby Učka Nature Park should also be on your list. This vast, mountainous area sprawls down the Istrian peninsula’s eastern side, and makes a great place to go hiking or biking. The walk up Mount Vojak can be taxing, but you will be rewarded with absolutely stunning views.
Not far down the coast from Opatija, the larger city of Rijeka is well worth a visit, culturally and architecturally rich with an endless list of must-see sights.
Museums of Natural History and Contemporary Art, an impressive Baroque cathedral and the buzzing Korzo promenade are just a taste of what awaits you in stunning Rijeka. You can also head over to the incredibly beautiful island of Krk, known as the ‘Golden Island’ – quite an accolade in a country with more than 1100 of them.

Best Suited For: All AgesThere’s an awful lot to love about Villa Fede, and the children definitely will. With both a children’s and adult pool, all ages can enjoy the water safely, and there’s so much space to play in or chill out. It’s not every day you get to have a sauna, but at Villa Fede, they can – or maybe grab a bike and get out and about in the beautiful Croatian countryside.
With a great choice of bedrooms, and extras like a PlayStation and lots of TVs with satellite channels, there will always be something to occupy them while you’re having fun, and days out will be packed too, with excellent beaches, restaurants, parks and historic buildings to discover in nearby Opatija and beyond.
