Villa Angelov is a newly built home which is nestled in the charming coastal town of Novi Vinodolski, offering a taste of maritime flavour, rustic local touches along with top-grade fittings and finishes within seamless contemporary comfort. This breezy and airy light-filled home is crafted in local stone, offset with traditional marina blue shutters and indoor-outdoor living. A feel-good abode, full of natural light, the nautical feel emanates throughout, while the outdoor spaces are perfect for stylish outdoor living.

The garden’s centrepiece is the glistening pool, set within a sleek terrace space furnished with day beds and loungers, together with a shaded dining veranda ideal for al fresco meals and barbecues in the balmy evening air. With an outdoor gym, kids play area, table-tennis and bar, the scene is set for lively group time.

The interiors at Villa Angelov have been designed with entertainment and convivial moments in mind, with a stylish bar area and open plan living spaces. The kitchen has a centrepiece island with low-hanging lighting and exposed brickwork in the creamy local stone with natural timber accents. Innovative design touches feature throughout, including the full arched doorway, natural stone-built bath and sink with a crafted effect and connection to the local natural landscape, while exposed timber beams lend a cottage-like feel. The recurrent nautical theme pops up at every turn, in artwork, fabrics and the ultra-fun sea-life themed shower.

The bedrooms are serenely finished in neutral tones, while the large, open-plan living space with flat-screen television and games console sets the scene for group downtime.

Villa Angelov has an upbeat air to it, a breezy sea-side feel with abundant natural daylight, playful touches of experimental design and ultra-pretty use of raw materials with stylish outdoor living spaces.

Villa Angelov is nestled in the bustling tourist town of Novi Vinodolski, 12 km south-east from Crikvenica and 45 km south-east from Rijeka on the southern Croatian coast, facing the island of Krk. Novi Vinodolski’s centre and beaches are just a short walk from the villa, while the town has both an old town and new town and is considered the second most visited town on the Croatian riviera after Opatija.

The Novi Vinodolski Riviera is located in the central part of the Northern Croatian Littoral; the town is rich with historical sites, including the dilapidated walls of the Lopsica Roman fortress, the ruins of the former monastery, and the Frankopan castle with its tower. Famous for the small-pebbled beaches backed by green woods Nori Vindolksi offers both the best of natural beauty and access to unspoilt nature in its surrounding areas to authentic Croatian life. Water sports and boating trips are abundant in this region, whilst the islands of the Kvarner Bay are easily accessible.

Only 205m from Novi Vindolski, visitors can visit the small island of St. Marino, which is known for its Gothic church. Nearby Crikvenica is one of the most scenic parts of the Adriatic coast, where the sea and the green plains of the Vinodol valley meet. Crikvenica has a host of seasonal events, including the traditional Fishermen's Week (one of the oldest festivals in Crikvenica), whilst the Aquarium is worth a visit, filled with more than 150 species of fish, as is the Crikvenica Town Museum.

Visitors interested in fishing and fish specialities shouldn't miss a visit to Klenovica, one of the most renowned fishing villages on the Adriatic.

The Plitvice Lakes National Park is the largest, oldest and most visited Croatian national park, offering 16 spectacular lakes, connected by stunning waterfalls and cascades. Visitors will enjoy this unique oasis of natural beauty by walking along the paths and wooden bridges or taking a tour by small train and boat.

Region

Sheltered by majestic mountains, the Kvarner Gulf region of Croatia is a coastal gem calling out to be explored. With its stunning landscapes, charming towns, and a seamless blend of Mediterranean and Central European influences, Kvarner has emerged as a must-visit destination for travellers seeking an authentic Croatian experience.

The region offers a stunning array of landscapes, ranging from rugged mountains to tranquil coastal areas. The Velebit Mountains, which stretch along the eastern part of the region, are not just an incredible backdrop but also an absolute haven for outdoor enthusiasts. Hiking and mountain biking trails criss-cross the mountain range, offering spectacular vistas of the Adriatic Sea and surrounding islands.

The coastline of Kvarner is equally breathtaking, with numerous hidden coves, pebble beaches, and crystal-clear waters. The islands in the Kvarner Gulf, including Krk, Cres, and Lošinj, offer fantastic opportunities for beach-combing, swimming, and water sports. You can also embark on boat trips to explore the secluded beaches and hidden caves that dot the coastline.

Kvarner boasts a rich history that has shaped the region into what it is today, and one of the most notable historical sites in the region is the town of Krk on the island of the same name. Krk's Old Town is a labyrinth of narrow streets and picturesque squares, surrounded by medieval city walls and fortifications. A highlight of Krk is the Frankopan Castle, a well-preserved fortress with a rich history dating back to 1191.

On the mainland, the elegant resort town of Opatija, often referred to as the "Pearl of the Adriatic," is a prime example of Kvarner's cultural appeal. It was a favoured destination for European aristocracy during the 19th century, with its historic grand hotels and lush parks. A stroll along the beautiful seaside promenade that trails along the coastline will give you great views over to the neighbouring islands. It’s a delightful town to explore and soak in the atmosphere of a bygone era.

The Lopar peninsula on the island of Rab is a perfect spot for a family trip - the beautiful Paradise Beach (Rajska Plaža) features fine, golden sands and very shallow, crystal-clear waters that make it an ideal beach for young children. That and the beach entertainment - think fairground rides, boats, and beach volleyball - will keep little ones entertained all day.

The region is well-connected by road, making it easy to explore the coastal towns and venture into the mountains. Rijeka, the largest city in Kvarner, serves as a transport hub, with good rail and bus connections. Additionally, there are multiple airports in and around the region, including Rijeka Airport, which facilitates international travel.

Kvarner is truly a treasure trove of natural beauty, historical significance, and cultural charm. The Mediterranean climate offers a year round destination, popular with beachgoers in the warm, sunny summer months, and providing pleasant weather for hiking and sightseeing in the spring, autumn and mild winters. This coastal region offers a range of activities and experiences for travellers of all interests - whether you're a history buff, a nature lover, a foodie, or simply seeking a peaceful seaside retreat, Kvarner has something special to offer.

Kids

With a private pool, table tennis, table football, kids play area and garden space, this home is well equipped to meet the needs of children, while barbecue dinners as a family outside will hit the right note.

Closeby Crikvenica beach is full of activities for children, from volleyball to paddle-boating. The aquarium at Crikvenica is also well worth a visit, with over 150 species including sea horses, sharks and coral.

The pebbly beach at Nori Vinodolski is excellent for younger children, with calm, shallow clear waters. The local restaurants are very family-oriented, while boat trips as a family to nearby islands will leave wonderful memories.

Further north in Rijeka, for a day out, Happy Land has everything from laser tag to ball pits. Mountain biking in the region is a popular family activity, with thousands of safe bike trails.

Super modernly equipped. Everything was nice and clean, everything we needed was available. Hosts were mega accommodating. Even the fridge was filled with the necessities. Arrived at 10:30pm because of traffic, but it was no problem at all. Walking distance to everything.

We were here in July/August with 2 families. The landlord and his wife welcomed us very nicely. The fridge was also filled with some drinks, so that the holiday could start right away. The accommodation is really great! Everything is built very elaborately and furnished with heart, the furnishings are also high quality. You can really enjoy your holiday here. Definitely recommend Villa Angelov!
