Overview

Pool Beach Nearby

Delightfully nestled between the stunning Učka Nature Park to the north and the Adriatic Sea to the south, Villa Odolina is the ideal holiday home for those seeking nature, tranquillity and romantic strolls along the beach!

Built in 2010, this is a fabulously modern villa on the idyllic Istrian coastline. In the living room, you will find a large L-shaped sofa and a comfy armchair in front of the SAT TV and beside large French doors leading to the terrace.

This natural light creates a warm ambience, complementing the soft tones of wood and cream. A large dining table sits alongside the living area, with a spacious kitchen at the far end of the room. On this floor, there is also a sauna and gym, where you can sweat out your aches (or hangover!) before a refreshing dip in the pool.

Upstairs there are three double bedrooms, each is spacious and designed in a minimalist style. One of the double rooms has both an ensuite bathroom and a large private terrace, complete with a seating area for four and sublime views!

There is one more family bathroom on each floor, one with a bath and one with a shower. On the landing, there are two desks where guests may like to complete some work and a double sofa bed.

The garden is 800m2 of spacious and stylishly equipped lawn and fenced terrace, with a delightful swimming pool at the heart of it! Thanks to your quiet location, overlooking the town of Lovran, with a spectacular view of the Adriatic Sea, you can enjoy total tranquillity in the garden.

Sun loungers on the lawn and around the pool are the perfect place for a little sun-bathing, and the casual seating area of the terrace is the ideal spot for an early evening tipple, soaking up the sublime views!

Nearby Opatija is known as the Pearl of, and you need only take a stroll through its idyllic streets and along the beach to see why!

Nestled practically within the grounds of the Učka Nature Park, a sprawling protected area with hiking routes leading to canyons, waterfalls and historic sites, you’ll find unspoilt nature a stone’s throw away.

In fact, one-third of the Istrian territory is forested, and the rest is carpeted with vineyards, olive trees, pastures and orchards, with ancient walled cities perched atop hills in the mountainous landscape, so you need merely stroll out of your front door to find the richness of Istria.

Just 15 minutes away from the dazzling coast at Opatija, Villa Odolina is beautifully nestled between the thickly forested hills of the Učka Nature Park and the dazzling Adriatic Sea.

Along the coast, you can stroll along the Lungomare promenade, or even pop into the Croatian Museum of Tourism!

Once a seaside resort for the Austro-Hungarian elite, in the days of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, Opatija, known as the Pearl of Kvarner, remains a popular destination for those seeking a picturesque and peaceful Croatian coastal town with a little more to it than just a beach!

A charming heart-shaped peninsula in the north-west of Croatia, Istria is warm, welcoming and perfectly-sized – you can drive the length in around an hour, putting everything within easy reach!

From breath-taking scenery, rich history and a world-famous culinary scene – you will find it all in Istria! As a former part of the Venetian Republic, this region has seen many rulers from the Romans, Byzantines and Austro-Hungarians to the Italians and Yugoslavians. Now, a myriad of enchanting towns and villages, rich in history and culture, are nestled among the undulating countryside.

Active holiday-makers will be delighted with the offerings: from windsurfing in Medulin to scuba diving in the Brijuni National park and rock climbing, hang-gliding and walking in Buzet along the 15km ‘seven waterfalls’ walk, Istria has it all.

Both along the dramatic coastal paths and in the mountains inland, you will find an abundance of natural paths for cycling (including the scenic Parenzana route over an old railway line from Viznada to the Slovenian border) and rugged off-road hiking trails. Pick up a trail-map from any of the Tourist Offices, for loads of well-marked routes around the coast and in the Cape Kamenjak.

Both Rijeka and Pula have international airports within a short drive of the villa, while Pula is the central hub for those getting ferries, although there is a daily ferry between Poreč and Venice.

Region

This heart-shaped peninsula was the birthplace of modern Croatian tourism, and it’s easy to see why. Its history has bestowed it with Italian sophistication, most obviously seen in pastel-painted coastal towns, like romantic Rovinj. But, tear yourself away from the Istrian coast, through the vineyards, olive groves, and dense forests, and you will discover brilliantly preserved medieval towns and villages, where cobbled streets reveal quaint galleries, sweet squares and sea-views.

Kids

Best Suited For: All Ages

Villa Odolina is the ideal home for your family holiday. With a fabulous array of onsite facilities and so much to explore nearby you can guarantee making memories to treasure as well as a little peace and quiet while the kids get stuck in!

In the heart-shaped bubble of Istria, you will find many activities specifically designed for families, including the two sensational water parks of Aquapark Istralandia near Novigrad and Aquapark Aquacolors in Poreč.

There is also the Dino Park just outside the town of Funtana where the kids can enjoy seeing life-size dinosaurs in the wilderness, an amusement park and even a dino shooting range!

On the theme of Dinosaurs, just a short drive from Pula, on the very southern tip of Istria, is the Kamenjak National Park where you can follow the ‘Dinosaur Path’ to discover dinosaur footprints and admire stunning views over the bay.

All along the coastline you will find opportunities to rent boats, pedalos and snorkelling equipment (or even scuba diving if you’re feeling up to it!) to enjoy the pristine beaches and bays, while inland among the deep green, rolling mountains there are some of the most beautiful cycling and hiking trails in Europe.
