Situated in the peaceful Istrian countryside is villa Luella, sleeping eight guests.

As you step into the villa you are greeted with a white, modern hallway with stairs sweeping up to the first floor to the right and the ground floor to your left. Continuing on the ground floor you step into the main family living space with stylish mirrors and furniture leading around the corner. A modern kitchen with an island sits against with back wall with a noir table and chairs seating eight guests. A quirky light fixture hangs overhead adding a playful aspect. The kitchen is modern with all the luxury appliances you could need including an oven/stove, toaster, microwave, blender, dishwasher, toaster and more importantly coffee maker. The kitchen island separates the kitchen from the dining table, with stove on the counter and an extractor fan above.

Floor-to-ceiling windows lead you to the lounge area at the end of the space. Dark curtains hang at the edges ready to be drawn, cosying the space in the evenings. The sofa is light with a soft rug in front of a fireplace and flat-screen TV. Off the main family area is one of the bedrooms with direct access to the patio and pool. The modern finishes continue in the bedrooms and into the ensuite bathroom with circular mirrors, simple furnishings and abstract artwork.

Back to the staircase by the front door, you are led up to three of the bedrooms. All bedrooms have double beds and spacious ensuites. Towels and a hairdryer are provided which will save space in your suitcase. Large windows let in natural light, making the rooms feel even bigger. The first-floor rooms access a large enclosed balcony to enjoy your morning coffee. Or star gaze under the clear skies surrounded by bubbles in the villas jacuzzi on the balcony overlooking the patio and sea. The villa comes with even more entertainment with a games room including bean bag chairs, board games and a large flat-screen TV.

Outside on the ground floor towards the back of the villa is a spacious patio. Surrounded by greenery and open space, you can fully relax while looking out to the open Croatian countryside. A large infinity pool with steps leading into the water, so it is accessible for everyone to enjoy the pool, reaches out towards the landscape. Sun chairs face the scenery while an outdoor dining table is set back towards the villa in the cool shade created by an overhanging pergola. You will love alfresco dining while watching the sun set over the sea. A sunken smaller jacuzzi is set into the patio giving you an abundance of bubbly options to relax into.

Villa Luella is in the rural hamlet Diminići on the Labinština peninsula in Istria, northern Croatia. From here you are less than four km away from your local grocery store, café, restaurants and beach! Tunarica bay is also near the villa; a tranquil bay tucked into the coastline. Its pebbled shore meets the clear waters and is a peaceful paradise due to it’s lack of tourists. Crna punta is a sea cave along the coast. It is a beautiful natural creation that you can reach via kayak. Surrounded by rocks with sunlight streaming in from above, you can stand on a rocky shore within the cave and admire its beauty.

Villa Luella is close to the city Pula. With a long tradition of winemaking, fishing and shipbuilding Pula is filled with Roman architecture and surrounded by a beautiful natural landscape. The roman architecture includes the temple of Augustus Cathedral, the Roman Forum, City Hall and impressively, an amphi- theatre. The street beneath the terracotta rooftops is a maze of cafes, restaurants and shops waiting for you to discover. Due to its conflicting past, there are many forts in and around Pula for you to explore.

South of Pula, along the twisting coastline, are an abundance of hidden beaches and coves. Spend a day exploring the rocky shore, taking dips in the cooling Adriatic Sea. The whole family will love submerging into the underwater worlds, and discovering fish and other underwater creatures. Scuba diving is also available along the coastline for those who want to take their adventure to the next level. Kayaking tours are a great way to see the landscape- and an experience you can do all together. Or take a day trip and hop on a ferry to Cres, an island filled with secluded bays and coves. The rocky coast encircles the island while ancient forests help to fill the land. Heavily influenced by the Venetians, Cres town is the main point for civilisation. Many say it mimics an Italian town which you can see for yourself as you wander through the quaint streets, absorbing the years of history. Delve deeper and explore the clear waters surrounding the island with snorkelling.

Region

Nestled along Croatia’s enchanting Adriatic coastline, Istria welcomes visitors with open arms and a rich tapestry of experiences waiting to be unraveled. Whether you're seeking adventure in nature, indulgence in culinary delights, a glimpse into history and culture, or simply a warm and inviting atmosphere, the peninsula of Istria has it all.

Istria's diverse and unspoiled landscapes will be the first thing to capture your attention! The region is renowned for its lush green hills, rolling vineyards, and enchanting coastline: the stunning scenery is a playground for nature enthusiasts, hikers, and beachgoers alike.

Offering a remarkable 445 kilometres of pristine coastline, including tranquil coves and sandy beaches, visitors can find plenty of secluded spots to soak up the sun. The clear, azure waters of the Adriatic are perfect for swimming, snorkelling, and scuba diving, making it a fantastic choice for those who enjoy an active day of water sports.

Venture inland and you'll discover picturesque villages set amidst rolling hills and verdant forests. Istria is home to over 30 nature reserves - an absolute haven for hikers and cyclists, with an abundance of well-marked trails to explore. The Učka Nature Park, in particular, stands out as a hiking and nature lover's paradise, offering waterfalls, historic villages, and breathtaking panoramic views of Istria's outstanding scenery.

Istria's rich history is woven into the fabric of its towns and cities. An ever popular choice for tourists is the impressive port city of Pula, full of quaint town squares and local restaurants, and home to one of the most well-preserved Roman amphitheaters in the world. This ancient arena, known as the Pula Arena, is a testament to Istria's Roman heritage and hosts numerous events, including concerts and film festivals.

The medieval towns of Rovinj and Motovun enchant visitors with their cobbled streets and historic charm. The Euphrasian Basilica in Poreč, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a stunning example of early Christian art and architecture.

Istria's culinary scene is a treat for the taste buds: the region is famous for its truffles, particularly the elusive white truffle, and you can savour dishes infused with this prized delicacy in charming local restaurants across the region. Wine and olive oil lovers will find joy in Istria's vineyards and olive groves, offering tastings and insights into traditional production methods. Fresh seafood, often served with a Mediterranean twist, is a staple that you can enjoy at quaint waterfront eateries along the coastline.

One of the most enduring memories visitors take away from Istria is the warmth of its people. The locals are known for their friendly, welcoming nature and their willingness to share their traditions and stories with tourists. You'll find yourself immersed in the local way of life, whether you're exploring ancient towns or enjoying a meal in a family-run tavern.

Istria is easily accessible, with Pula Airport serving as a major gateway. Once you arrive, navigating the region is a breeze with well-maintained roads connecting major towns and villages. Language barriers are minimal, thanks to the widespread use of English, Italian, and German, alongside the local Croatian language.

Istria’s unique blend of pristine landscapes, rich traditions, and warm-hearted locals creates an experience that will linger in your memories long after you've returned home.
