Villa Zena has so many treats in store for you. This stunning, contemporary villa, nestled in glorious countryside in the tranquil, authentic village of Brgat Donji is just 8km east of the fabulous medieval town of Dubrovnik. The natural surroundings lend themselves to relaxation. The accommodation available at Villa Zena is the lower floor and the fantastic gardens and terraces. The owners of the villa live on the top floor, though they have a completely separate entrance and do not use the gardens and terraces so you have complete privacy in this exceptionally well-maintained villa.

Villa Zena is the perfect place to escape hectic everyday life and to enjoy the delights of the countryside yet be within easy reach of Dubrovnik, the stunning beaches of the Dubrovnik Riviera and boat trips to the sensational Elaphiti Islands. Villa Zena boasts 4 gorgeous bedrooms on the ground floor, sleeping eight lucky guests.

The mostly grey and white villa has been decorated and finished with artistic flair throughout. The open plan living area is a contemporary wonder with classy, contemporary furnishings, striking artworks and a stunning, gleaming kitchen. A huge corner sofa, beautifully accessorised with colourful scatter cushions, sits in the perfect position to watch the enormous television at the end of a busy day. At the other end of the room, you will find the stylish, sleek kitchen with its central island and trendy stools where you can enjoy delicious feasts. There are four bedrooms in total, three being doubles and one with twin beds. The master bedroom enjoys a superbly comfortable kingsize bed and an amazing, artistic feature wall, again all in shades of grey and white with the occasional colour pop. It certainly has the wow factor! Next door is a beautifully tiled bathroom with a large walk-in shower. The second bedroom enjoys a double bed and is yet very effectively decorated with an attractive colour panel. The third bedroom is another grey and white haven with a stunning feature wall and a comfy double bed adorned with luxury linens. The final bedroom offers twin beds and beautiful decoration. In total, there are three exceptional shower rooms to share. They are all immaculate with beautiful tiles and top-of-the-range fittings.

Though the interior of Villa Zena is truly sensational, the outside spaces certainly compete. You will enjoy a fabulous terrace which offers remarkable countryside views. It boasts a fantastic summer kitchen which includes an ice maker, barbecue, dishwasher, fridge and a brilliant alfresco dining area. You do not need to go back into the villa for supplies! Again it is an incredibly stylish space with the very best of everything! You will enjoy some unforgettable evenings here. The 35 sqm swimming pool is amazing. It has a function for artificial waves and a waterfall, so you will probably spend hours in Luxurious loungers surrounding the poolers. There is also a garden area with lounge chairs that you can move around and a separate area for table tennis. Villa Zena is a true, away-from-it-all paradise.

The owners are incredibly helpful with suggestions for restaurants, excursions, boat hire or anything else you may need. They also offer you the experience of a traditional delicious evening dinner after a long day of sightseeing. Although they live upstairs, they will ensure you have complete privacy.

Villa Zena enjoys a very scenic location in Brgat Donji, a very sleepy, charming village 8km east of Dubrovnik. You will enjoy this tranquil, countryside location yet be within very easy reach of Dubrovnik and the wonderful sand and pebble beaches of the Dubrovnik Riviera. Close to Brgat Donji, you will discover other pretty villages including Gornji Brgat, Plat and Mlini.

Mlini, 4km from the villa, is a small, idyllic fishing village located half way between Cavtat and Dubrovnik with a charming harbour, a bakery, supermarket, a lovely pebble and sand beach, cafes and restaurants and the most stunning sunsets. Mlini gets its name from the numerous fresh water wellsprings that used to power the local flour mills in the past. From Mlini, visitors can take a water ferry to visit Dubrovnik Old Town. You can also visit Lokrum where some of Game of Thrones was filmed and enjoy a relaxing, peaceful day with a delicious picnic or a visit to the popular saltwater swimming spot named the ‘Dead Sea’.

Cavtat is 15km from the villa and only 22km from the border of the stunning Montenegro. It is very pretty, hemmed in by mountains and lush swathes of pine and cypress forest and is rich in cultural history. It boasts beautiful beaches, crystal clear waters, many ancient necropolises dotted around and a wonderful promenade lined with fishing boats and artisan shops. There are several museums and galleries. You will find some lovely restaurants in Cavtat where you can sample the delicious local cuisine.

Dubrovnik Old Town is incredibly beautiful. With its breathtaking natural beauty, rich historical heritage and fantastic array of restaurants, cafes, bars and unique shops, it is extremely popular. Visitors soak up the romantic atmosphere of its narrow streets, admire the countless monuments, taste the delicious city’s rich gastronomic delights and be left breathless with its harmonious beauty. You can taste signature dishes such as rozata, kotonjata or black risotto along with local wines. If you are lucky you will get a table by the harbour.

Another excursion that is an absolute must when staying at Villa Zena is a boat trip to the Elaphiti islands. They are stunningly beautiful with caves, sandy idyllic beaches and incredible charm

About Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik is one of the world’s most beautiful walled cities, and one of the most interesting places to stay in Europe. The old town is a knot of limestone streets – worth getting lost in, to stumble upon elegant palazzi and baroque churches. Beyond the sturdy medieval fortifications is a stunning rocky coastline, dotted with pebbly beaches, while islands cast adrift from mainland Croatia are just ready to be explored.

While you’re enjoying one of our fantastic villas in Dubrovnik you may well want to explore everything else the region has to offer – so we’ve put together this handy travel guide to give you a little help and inspiration!
