With wonderful gardens to play in and a delightful swimming pool, Villa Mirno is a fantastic family villa for those looking to experience a stunning part of Croatia and be within half an hour to one of the world’s most beautiful cities, Dubrovnik.

Villa Mirno has all the home comforts you could wish for with a lovely living-dining room and a pretty kitchen for you to prepare locally sourced Croatian delights for your family meals. There are two bedrooms downstairs, one twin and one double, each with doors leading to the garden whilst upstairs are two further doubles, each with access to a terrace with views of the surrounding green landscapes. The villa has a homely, well cared for feel about it and with additional features such as air-conditioning and heating, you will feel comfortable all year round.

It’s all about the gardens here though with fantastic enclosed grounds, wonderful for kids to run around in or simply relaxing in the sun. There’s the impressive swimming pool too, perfect for warm summer afternoons and plenty of sun-loungers to laze in the heat. Food lovers will appreciate long lingering lunches or dining under the stars on the al-fresco terrace with barbecue facilities to cook up a feast.

You can walk to the nearby village of Gruda where you will find a bakery, mini-market and restaurants.  Here you are on the edge of the beautiful Konavle valley where you are surrounded by forests, villages and old traditions. The villa has bikes for you to explore this outstanding area and there are numerous hiking trails as well as horse-riding nearby.  There are some stunning beaches along this coast and despite all this natural beauty the city of Dubrovnik, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is only 30km.

If you are looking for a laid back holiday in a remarkable part of Croatia, with outstanding landscapes, beaches, villages and cities then Villa Milna would make a perfect base for you and your family or friends.

Located in the village of Gruda on the edge of the Konavle valley, this area is ideal for those looking for a relaxing holiday near stunning countryside yet within driving distance to stunning Dubrovnik, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

In Gruda itself, within walking distance to the villa, you will find a bakery, mini-market, butchers, and a selection of restaurants and bars serving excellent local cuisine and wines.

You are on the edge of the beautiful Konavle valley where you are surrounded by forests of pines and cypresses, vineyards, olive groves and fruit orchards. There are small villages and tiny hamlets dotted around the region and two rivers, the Ljuta and Konavocica plus historically important watermills that have been preserved and are now open to visitors. It is an area that has retained its old traditions and customs, one example is ‘peka’ where locals slow cook meat or fish and vegetables in a large pot in the embers of the fire. You will be able to find rustic restaurants across the region serving this Dalmatian delight. Look out for the local tipple made from herbs, honey and figs too.

The area is wonderful for walkers with many trails and horse-riding is possible both in the countryside and along coastal paths. The villa has bicycles for guests to use in the stunning valley and you are sure to come across keen cyclists along the many trails popular in the region. Horse-lovers will love the riding opportunities within a few kilometres of the villa and there’s also quad bike safari tours nearby.

There is a choice of beaches in the area including the pretty Pasjaca Beach (6km), hidden below the rocks in Popovici.  Heading east you'll also find the beautiful beach in Molunat (12km) or in the other direction, the charming town of Cavtat (16km) has secluded coves and bays surrounding it as well as an old harbour and palm lined promenade to enjoy.

It is hard to believe that the bustling city of Dubrovnik is just 30km away. Dubrovnik is known to be one of the most beautiful cities in the world and is a UNESCO World Heritage site with good reason. Walk around the city’s medieval walls dating back to the 13th century, discover the Baroque churches and palazzi in the pedestrianised city centre and dine well in one of the many upmarket restaurants specialising in local seafood. The cable car up to the top of Mount Srdj offers stunning views of the city, sea and islands and keen hikers can walk back down!  From Dubrovnik port you can also discover one of the other islands in the Adriatic with a wide choice of boat excursions on offer plus there is a great range of watersports for all the family to enjoy.

About Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik is one of the world’s most beautiful walled cities, and one of the most interesting places to stay in Europe. The old town is a knot of limestone streets – worth getting lost in, to stumble upon elegant palazzi and baroque churches. Beyond the sturdy medieval fortifications is a stunning rocky coastline, dotted with pebbly beaches, while islands cast adrift from mainland Croatia are just ready to be explored.

While you’re enjoying one of our fantastic villas in Dubrovnik you may well want to explore everything else the region has to offer – so we’ve put together this handy travel guide to give you a little help and inspiration!
