Location
About the surrounding area of Villa JadrienMlini is one of the best developed tourists resorts of the Dubrovnik area situated within a picturesque environment, beneath the historic mountain Spilan, almost penetrated into the shape of the mountain and the wooded rocky land. The name of the place comes from the mills (Mlini means "mills") that used to be moved by the waters of the rivulet Zavrelja. There is a beautiful promenade and a small harbour from which the boats depart several times a day to Dubrovnik, Cavtat and nearby islands. You will find here many sandy, pebble and hidden beaches. There are many restaurants and cafe bars in the immediate area.
Dubrovnik is Croatia’s most popular tourist destination, and it’s not difficult to see why. An essentially medieval town reshaped by Baroque planners after a disastrous earthquake of 1667, Dubrovnik’s historic core seems to have been suspended in time ever since. Set-piece churches and public buildings blend seamlessly with the green-shuttered stone houses, forming a perfect ensemble relatively untouched by the twenty-first century. Outside the city walls, suburban Dubrovnik exudes Mediterranean elegance: gardens are an explosion of colourful bougainvillea and oleanders; trees are weighted down with figs, lemons, oranges and peaches.
Dubrovnik is worth a visit at any time of year, although spring and summer – when life spills out onto the streets and café tables remain busy well into the night – bring out the best in the city. Croatia’s cultural luminaries visit the town during the Dubrovnik Summer Festival in July and August, bringing an added dash of glamour to the streets, while the main event in winter is the Feast of St Blaise on February 3, when the patron saint of the city is honoured by a parade and special mass, followed by much drinking and eating.

About Dubrovnik
Dubrovnik is one of the world’s most beautiful walled cities, and one of the most interesting places to stay in Europe. The old town is a knot of limestone streets – worth getting lost in, to stumble upon elegant palazzi and baroque churches. Beyond the sturdy medieval fortifications is a stunning rocky coastline, dotted with pebbly beaches, while islands cast adrift from mainland Croatia are just ready to be explored.
While you’re enjoying one of our fantastic villas in Dubrovnik you may well want to explore everything else the region has to offer – so we’ve put together this handy travel guide to give you a little help and inspiration!

Great location!
Great location, only a few steps away from the beach and playground below and the restaurants and shops of Mlini, yet entirely quiet. The house offers good living space and the equipment is complete. The garden is full of beautiful plants and immaculately maintained, adding to the Mediterranean feel. Very friendly owners, too. We were a family of five and can recommend it.

Close to the beach...
Great location very close to the beach- one sloping road up from the promenade or steps, and easy access to either Mlini or Srebreno bays. Lots of restaurants and bars within 5 minutes walk and seats to sit in the ports. We were family from 7 to 70s and all enjoyed it. No need for a car.

Beautiful
Villa Jadrien is a beautiful place to stay with spacious accommodation, lovely tended gardens, spotlessly clean with everything you could possibly need provided. It is in an ideal location and within walking distance of several bars and restaurants and also the ferry to Cavtat or Dubrovnik. May not be suitable for elderly or small children as steep steps up to the house. Would love to visit again.
