Lapad is a relatively new part of Dubrovnik. Although some houses have existed for a long time, most houses were built during the 1960s and 1970s when several hotels were constructed in Uvala Bay. It is a lovely peninsula, tranquil and with much greenery. Lapad Bay enjoys a long promenade with cosy coffee shops, bars and restaurants. The water in the bay is a very clear and gorgeous turquoise colour.

Visitors arriving at Dubrovnik Old Town for the first time are usually in awe of this amazing city with its limestone streets, baroque buildings, ancient city walls and the endless shimmer of the Adriatic. It was dubbed the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’ by George Bernard Shaw, and it is easy to see why. This characterful, atmospheric medieval town is enclosed by ancient city walls that you have to walk around. Inside, you will discover the Stradun, the main thoroughfare, together with many churches, monasteries and palaces. You will marvel at how the light changes on these ancient buildings. Dubrovnik Old Town’s picturesque shops, restaurants and historical sights are an absolute delight. There is a fantastic atmosphere in the charming, bustling marina and port where you can take boat trips to various islands and Montenegro. The port is also brimming with fabulous fish restaurants soaking up the sunlight and guests enjoying cocktails. There are three entrances to the walled city, including Pile, the main gate, Ploca by the port and Buze between the two. Buze Gate will take you in via steep staircases. Once you have finished looking at the churches, palaces and monasteries, you can take the cable car up to reach Mt Srd, which is the best place to enjoy stunning views of this iconic Old Town. You will also enjoy sensational views of the expansive coastline and the beautiful mountains in the distance.

A visit to the fabulous island of Lokrum is worthwhile. You can be at one with nature as this stunning island is brimming with towering trees and lush plants. It is just a 10-minute ferry ride from Dubrovnik. The island is known for its oaks, pines and olive trees and is also a very popular swimming spot. The Iron Throne can be found on the island for those who love the Game of Thrones.
Mljet is another famous island to visit. Ancient Greco-Roman geographers wrote the first accounts of Mljet. The island is a haven for nature lovers and those looking to unwind and relax. It is ideal for watersports enthusiasts, plus there are plenty of bike and scooter routes and walking trails through the forests.

Harry Potter fans will be in their element in Dubrovnik. They can spend a day exploring the prominent filming locations from Harry Potter and Game of Thrones. Walking through the streets of Kings Landing, capital of the Seven Kingdoms and dominant power in Westeros, in Dubrovnik, your young ones will recognise so many locations. You can take photos on the staircase from season 5’s ‘Walk of Shame’. Also, if you decide to visit the island of Lokrum, they will come across the Iron Throne. The island of Lokrum is a wonderful excursion where children enjoy watersports and nature. It is peaceful and so much fun. The ferry trip is quick and easy from Dubrovnik.

Adventurous children enjoy kayak tours to explore the coastline and Lokrum Island. Adventure Dubrovnik runs nine three-hour kayak tours a day. You will explore caves and journey to the dark side of Lokrum. No experience is necessary, but children must be with an adult. From Dubrovnik, you can take many water-based tours, including semi-submarine rides, glass-bottom boat excursions, jet skiing, parasailing, kayaking, panoramic boat tours, scuba diving and fishing.

For a beach day, you can head to the nearby Copacabana Beach. It is the best of Dubvronik’s beaches with plenty of activity laid on. The sea is beautifully clear and very shallow. There are lots of water chutes, inflatables, banana rides, and pedalos to amuse the young ones.

I would recommend this amazing new villa to everyone who are looking for a beautiful vacation experience in Dubrovnik. I really can’t find any downsides to this property, everything is amazing from the villa itself to the host and amenities.

  • Sensational accommodation.

    on 27/11/2023

Awesome location. Rooms are amazing, pool is great, just THE BEST place we've EVER stayed at. And we've travelled a LOT!! Lovely hosts who are so helpful and friendly.

  • Amazing house with wonderful hosts

    on 25/06/2023

Gorgeous views and location. Great size property and beautifully done up, with all the amenities you could need. The owner was incredibly helpful before and during our trip with places to eat and go and takeaways.

  • Excellent, chilled but fun week away. Very satisfied.

    on 16/09/2021

Location was great. Within walking distance to shops, local restaurants and the harbour.
Our host Maroje could not have been better. He arranged transfers, gave us information on where to go and made sure our arrival and departure was seamless. As a group of 8, not 1 of us could fault anything about the villa or our stay. The villa was spotless, recently refurbished and felt very safe. We used the pool and sauna most days, but didn't get round to using the brick build BBQ within one of the buildings. Would recommend the villa to anyone who wants a quiet, pleasant place to stay.
