Wow! Wherever you are in this incredible villa there are absolutely stunning views! Whether you are on the outstanding terrace, in the 4 immaculate bedrooms, the living and dining area or even the bathrooms the panorama takes your breath away!

Built-in 2018, this blend of stark white against the steel grey of the mountains, in the charming allure of the countryside near Baska Voda, close to the Makarska Riviera is perfect as a luxury holiday villa. The exceptional Villa Masoni is situated at the foot of the Biokova mountain, 2km from the sea overlooking the dazzling Adriatic and the island of Brac and Hvar. It is simply stunning! The shape of the villa is very clever as it makes the most of the charm and beauty of the surroundings.  You have an amazing combination of high-quality facilities, privacy and seclusion, gorgeous panorama whether it be the sea or the Mediterranean pines, olives and mountains and within easy reach, you can be on a fabulous beach. You will not want to leave this villa – be warned!

Outside the ground level living area, you will find a spectacular terrace with infinity swimming pool, sun loungers, parasols, outdoor shower, alfresco dining area and barbecue. It is the perfect place to relax. There is also a small garden behind the house for some quiet time where you will smell the Mediterranean lavender, rosemary and laurel while lazing on the hammock.

The inside living and dining rooms are immaculate. The use of glass in this house is incredible so that wherever you are, even the middle of the house you can see the glorious blue sky, sea, mountains or something else that lifts your heart.

One of the elegant king bedrooms with pristine en-suite bathroom is on the lower ground door with a terrace and sea views. This is a great room if you have family members wanting a little privacy away from the rest of the family – perhaps grandparents. The remaining exquisite bedrooms are on the first floor. The master bedroom has a glorious terrace with sea views and an en-suite where you can laze in the stand-alone bath with a glass of champagne and look out to the glistening azure waters. How luxurious is that! Another king also has a spectacular terrace looking out to sea and the last one, delightful mountain views. There is another superb bathroom on this floor. The bathrooms have fantastic rainfall showers and superior fluffy towels.

You cannot fail to be impressed with this villa – the views, the quality furnishings, the light and the atmosphere. You will feel pampered – exactly how it should be!

Baska Voda is a small, pretty village just 9km north of Markarska and just south of Brela. It is an easy day trip to Split and a wonderful holiday destination. Once a humble fishing village, Baska Voda’s beaches, pine woods and lovely setting have made it a favourite for seaside tourism. Baska Voda took shape when groups of people began coming down from the highlands to the sea looking for freshwater (baska voda).

Those that like hiking should definitely discover the Biokovo Mountain. It is incredible. By far it is the greatest sight of the Central Dalmatian coastline. You will see stunning scenery, wild horses and goats, the remains of old settlements, alpine plants, forests and wildflowers in the Biokovo Nature Park. You could also hire a bike or scooter so that you can see more.

The nearby villages of Bast and Topici, known for their artisanal cheese, proscuitto and bread are worth a visit. You should also take a stroll along the promenasde and look at the little fishermen’s houses in Bratus. You may well see them fixing their nets!

The beautiful Markarska Riviera stretches between Brela and Gradac with beautiful beaches, pine trees, the glistening turquoise sea and lovely quiet bays. You can book so many trips out to the islands of Brac and Hvar or simply to play in the sea. Markarska town is the heart of nightlife and eating out in this area. Some typical dishes of the Markarska region are the superb Bikovo cheese and ‘Kastradina’ which is a stew made with dried and smoked lamb, mutton or goat meat.

Similar to Split’s ‘Riva’ promenade, it has a lovely palm-lined promenade with fashionable cafes, bars and boutiques and you will see small yachts in the harbour. There is a small museum in the town where you can find out about local history and culture.

Region

Makarska, perched between the Biokovo mountain range and the glistening waters of the Adriatic Sea, is a stunning destination where nature's grandeur takes centre stage. The imposing mountains rise dramatically behind the town, creating a striking backdrop for the entire region. With its distinct Mediterranean climate, visitors can expect warm summers and mild winters, making it an ideal year-round destination.

The Riva - the town's seafront promenade - is a focal point of the community, where locals and visitors alike gather to soak up the Mediterranean atmosphere. Lined with palm trees and a variety of cafes, restaurants, and boutiques, the Riva is the perfect place to unwind, take in the scenic views of the sea and settle into the Croatian pace of life. As the sun sets over the Adriatic, Makarska comes alive with a vibrant nightlife scene. The Riva transforms into a lively hub of entertainment, with street performers, live music, DJ sets, and a chance to mingle with locals and fellow travellers.

If you're a history enthusiast, Makarska's rich heritage and historic sites will surely pique your interest. The Church of St. Mark, built in the early 18th century, stands as a testament to the region's strong Catholic tradition. The Baroque architecture and stunning altarpieces make it a notable religious landmark.

For a deeper dive into the past, the Makarska Franciscan Monastery, founded in the 16th century, houses an impressive collection of artefacts including ancient manuscripts and artwork. The monastery's cloister and church are architectural marvels in their own right. Within the complex, the Malacological Museum showcases an extensive collection of seashells, a testament to the region's maritime heritage.

The Makarska Riviera boasts a series of blue-flag beaches and crystal-clear waters, ensuring a perfect setting for relaxation and water activities. The most famous is the Makarska Beach itself, stretching for almost 2 kilometres and offering a plethora of water sports, sunbathing spots, and beachfront cafes. While sunbathing and swimming are the primary draws, you can also indulge in snorkelling, paddle-boarding, and jet skiing to experience the vibrant underwater world of the Adriatic.

Heading north along the Makarska Riviera, you’ll come to the town of Brela, famed for its pristine beaches. One of the best, Punta Rata, is often ranked among the most beautiful beaches in the world. The crystal-clear waters and the iconic Brela Rock jutting from the sea make it a picture-perfect spot for sunbathing and swimming.

The Biokovo Nature Park, often overshadowed by the coast, offers a different but equally wonderful experience. Here, the rugged mountain terrain allows for hiking, trekking, and adventure in the heart of nature. There are several well-marked trails that lead you through lush forests, up to the highest peak of Sveti Jure (St. George), providing breathtaking panoramic views of the Adriatic and the surrounding islands.

Day trips to nearby destinations are also a great way to explore the broader region. The islands of Hvar and Brač are easily accessible by ferry and make for fantastic day excursions. Hvar is known for its beautiful old town and lavender fields, while Brač is famous for the stunning Zlatni Rat beach.

This enchanting coastal region, characterised by its stunning beaches, rugged mountains, and vibrant atmosphere, is undoubtedly a place that leaves a lasting impression. It’s a must-visit for anyone looking to explore the diversity of the Dalmatian region. Whether you're a nature lover, history buff, or simply in search of a relaxing coastal escape, Makarska offers something for every traveller.

Kids

Best Suited For: All Ages
Ideal for Kids Ideal for Teens

Children will absolutely love Villa Masoni. They will not want to get out of the fantastic infinity pool. The villa is very spacious so there is a lot of room for them to play.

You could take them to the, particularly beautiful Ramova beach. It has a resemblance to the famous Zlatni Rat (Golden Cape) beach in Bol town on the island of Brac. This is also a possibility for a days outing. Ramova is very popular for paragliding landings. What a fantastic experience for them! No end of water sports can be booked from beaches along the Makarska Riviera.

A family adventure suitable for all ages is Zip Line Tucepi. Children can ride tandem with the zip line guide. There are 6 steel cables stretching across the beautiful canyon at Tucepi, just south of Makarska, in the middle of untouched nature. If this does not thrill them enough you can take them up to the Cetina river. They can swim, jump off rocks, river raft, kayak and zip-line at really high speeds across the canyon there.

Why not discover the magnificent waterfalls at Krka National Park. You can enjoy beautiful views and stroll through nature. The waters of the River Krka are wonderful and refreshing with 17 natural waterfalls including Skradinski Buk, the largest of them. It is so popular.

  • Wonderful house with a fantastic view

    on 30/07/2023

The view was amazing with the sea below and the mountains behind. The house exceeded expectations. On warm days, the air is fresher as the house is located high up. Possibility of nice walks in the surroundings.

  • 7 wonderful days - we will be back

    on 29/06/2023

A beautiful decor, very lovingly designed. The kitchen leaves nothing to be desired, so much great dishes- all kinds of glasses there are in the world in this equipment, down to the children's dishes (plastic). In addition, items such as different oils, flour, noodles, sugar, salt, spices, baking paper were already available. As well as a cherry tree in the garden because we were allowed to reap! The hygiene was just great!!!! But we liked the best of the contact with the owners, who are very welcoming and nice, we could (and have) contact them at any time. The pool was checked daily for water quality too early hours to not disturb us, but we were usually up with children - can really only recommend it.

  • The resort was even better than we imagined

An incredible oasis of well-being with the most modern interior, fully equipped with everything your heart desires.

  • We couldn’t have found a better place to spend the holiday with our loved ones than this.

    on 27/06/2022

The property was impeccably clean (couldn’t see even a bit of dust), very tastefully decorated and equipped with everything you could think off, so preparing the meal was an easy and smooth activity. The location offered us amazing views over the mountains, the village and the sea. My personal favorite was the home made organic olive oil the host provided for us, but also the big fruit basket and the wine and chocolate. The hosts were excellent, 10 stars for hospitality and service. The villa suited perfectly for our family and everyone had a great time, from grandparents to our little girls.

  • A wonderful place

    on 19/06/2022

We waited 8 long months to discover this wonderful place.
We arrived on June 11, we were very well received by Dubravka and Marino, they are extremely kind, they showed us the villa, gave us a lot of information. The villa is breathtaking! What a view! Everything was very clean when we arrived, the villa is identical to the pictures. You arrive, you put your bags down and you don't need anything else, everything is provided, even excellent home-made olive oil.
Baska Voda is a beautiful little town, nice walk in the harbour, restaurants and a nice beach. The general remark of my family was: one week is too short!
I am sure we will come back to Villa Masoni. Thanks to Dubravka and Marino, our great hosts.

  • Amazing stay at this luxury villa!

    on 18/06/2022

We were a group of 8 (family and friends aged 8-48 - celebrating a 21st birthday). We visited this beautiful country in June 2022 and stayed at this beautiful house - which was just perfect for an unforgettable stay! The villa was very spacious with stunning views, had all mod cons to a very high standard and had everything you needed for a nice relaxing holiday. Hosts were lovely - very helpful and friendly and were more than happy to accommodate and answer any queries we had. Would highly recommend and we hope to visit again soon. Thank you Dubravka and Mariano :)

  • Beautiful

    on 13/06/2022

The villa was even more beautiful than in the pictures and left nothing to be desired. The landlords were very warm and accommodating. We will be back definitely!

  • We love it!

    on 03/09/2020

We already knew from the past that we would be traveling to the best hosts in Croatia. We also knew that the house is in a fantastic location with stylishly furnished and spacious living areas. The welcome from Dubravka and Marino was, as always, very warm and arriving felt like a second home. We just love the incredibly beautiful view of the mountains and the endless sea. In addition, the luxury of the large, well-kept pool and the house. We discovered a lot of new things this year and went on nice trips with the children. Thanks to these experiences from the last 3 years, we have become absolute fans of Croatia - so one thing is already certain: we will be back!

  • A fabulous stay...

Dubravka and Mariano will do everything possible to make your stay a success. They are adorable.
The welcome was very warm and the house is fabulous.

    I unreservedly recommend it.
