For experiencing one of the most popular resorts on the island, Harbour Seventeen is perfectly located for enjoying the stunning harbour views and sights and sounds of Rodney Bay. You can start by taking a leisurely stroll around the harbour. At the end of your outdoor terrace, you’ll find a boardwalk which will take you along the shore of the bay, past sailboats and yachts. It’s the perfect, relaxing introduction to your picturesque neighbourhood and the entertaining activity on the water!

In fact, Harbour Seventeen is a truly relaxing venue for adopting the chilled-out, Caribbean lifestyle. You can walk to almost everything on offer within the resort. Reduit Beach, for example, is easy to reach on foot. One of the liveliest and most popular beaches along the west coast of Saint Lucia, head here for a taste of the Caribbean, beach-side! You can spend all day bathing on the soft white sand, swimming in the warm tropical sea, sipping cooling cocktails in a beach bar or having fun on inflatable rides.

Just along the bay, at the wonderful marina, you can also try your hand at water sports at the state-of-the-art diving centre; Dive Saint Lucia. With Marine Reserves up-coast, clear, turquoise waters and shipwrecks off-shore, there’s plenty to discover beneath the waves. If you’d rather stay on the surface, kitesurfing, windsurfing and sailing are also available.

The marina itself is quite spectacular and being the second largest in the Caribbean, owners of super-yachts from around the world choose to drop anchor here. It’s a wonderful place to stroll along the shore and stop for lunch or dinner. Pull up a chair at a waterfront restaurant, enjoy Caribbean or international cuisine and watch the nautical world go by.

Continue beyond the quayside attractions and you’ll find The Baywalk Mall. One of Saint Lucia’s biggest shopping complexes, it’s more of an entertainment centre with over eighty stores, restaurants and a casino, all under one roof. Back at the villa, despite being a short distance, you can escape the buzz of the Bay on your outdoor terrace. Or, retire to your private balcony with a night cap, and watch as a tropical sunset brings another day in paradise to an end.

About the Island & Getting There

About St Lucia

The Land, The People, The Light – St Lucia’s motto couldn’t be more representative of this captivating sovereign island nation. Witness dazzling scenery, be spellbound by the fascinating locals and allow for St Lucia to brighten your day and show you a new way to life.

St Lucia gained its independence from the British Commonwealth in 1979 and after centuries of a French presence, which is most visible today in the original Capital of Soufrière, St Lucia is famous for its Pitons & landscapes and vivacious community.

St Lucia really is a hiker’s Nirvana! Where to start? That’s a tough question. However, with the likes of - The Diamond Botanical Gardens, Enbas Saut Waterfall Trail, Pigeon Island National Park, Sulphur Springs Park Scenic Drive and Tet Paul Nature Trail – it doesn’t matter! These UNESCO listed sites are a sight to behold. If you're likely to take to the water, you'll be able to admire the rich marine biodiversity just off the shore of St Lucia. Over 60% of the marine area is made up of coral reefs and these are very poular with snorkelers and scuba divers. Just make sure you put time aside to relish these privileged land & seascapes.

Start your cultural trip downtown in Castries. Here you will be provided with more than enough entertainment for an afternoon and evening. The local Market runs throughout the week and is certainly the right place to come for exotic fruits and tantalising Street Food - the Green Fig & Salt Fish is local delicacy and it's not scarce, so perhaps try a few variants on this regional intricacy and let us know which is your favourite! The vendors are incredibly animated, so expect a show to be put on if you choose to explore this part of the island and brush up on those haggling skills. La Place Carenage and Point Seraphine are very popular Malls and if you bear in mind the added incentive of these complexes being Duty-Free, you and your guests will certainly get some good deals (A taxi back to your villa after such an excursion is suggested!).

Many holiday makers are surprised to learn of St Lucia’s rich cocoa legacy. Ever since the 1700’s this island has been producing cocoa related products, that are incredibly sought after all across the world. Morne Coubaril Estate and La Dauphine Estate specialise in showcasing how plantations use to gather & manufacture the Cocoa Bean fruit and organise educational tours. After learning all about St Lucia’s former booming cocoa industry, you will probably need some therapy…how about chocolate therapy like you’ve never encountered before? Enquire at some of the islands more renowned Spas and you’ll be able to experience the benefits of a chocolate facial and massage. Remember - Chocolate isn’t a food, it’s a medicine!

We have selected some of the most exciting villas on the island, so browse through these dreamy holiday homes and have a look at our cheeky little guide to St Lucia!

Prior to Booking

Please be aware that St Lucia is an island nation that experiences weather patterns dictated by the Atlantic Ocean to the north of the island and the Caribbean Sea to the south of the island. This tropical rainforest climate results in the island experiencing a hurricane season, which usually occurs between June to November. When thinking about booking your holiday to St Lucia, please consult Foreign travel advice for more information.

Reviews

  • Enjoyable stay

    on 08/02/2020

The property was exactly as advertised. Our weather was perfect and all of the shopping, dining and entertainment were right outside our gate. We went to Massey store almost every day for beer, wine, snacks and staples. It was directly across the street in the mall. We dove the reef near Anse Chastenet on three days and went to the rainforest on one day. Beautiful! I hope to go back sometime. It was a truly enjoyable stay.

  • Beautiful

    on 18/01/2020

The villa on the Harbour is everything the listing says! Beautiful, relaxing view and very comfortable lodging, our back yard was the Harbour. The housekeeper Esther was wonderful and our concierge was super friendly, helpful in scheduling tours and easily accessible. Supermarkets, shopping and buses are all a 5 minute walk away, which is good because cabs are expensive on the island. A beach is about 10 minute walk but we rented a boat to go to nicer Pigeon Island beach. Rodney bay is over an hour ride from the airport so arrange for transportation through a company called Quikkab and you will save a LOT of money! THANK YOU

  • Fantastic Location

    on 15/12/2017

The property is all you could ask for in a property rental. It is in a great location in Rodney Bay with everything being at your finger tips and at the same time you have the quiet and serenity of overlooking the harbour as well.

The beach is about a 10 min walk away passing various bars and restaurants along the way so plenty of places to stop for a drink or a bite to eat.
The swimming pool at the complex is not in view of the house and is not suitable for smaller children in my opinion.

The perfect holiday for adults in my opinion!

Special mention to Esther the house keeper, nothing was too much trouble for her to do and everyone who was involved in making our stay.
    Many thanks.

  • House & Location were Perfect

    on 18/01/2015

Just wanted to say we had a great time staying at # 17. Your house and the location were perfect. We have been to St.Lucia many times but this topped the list. We are off to Chile next from Trinidad but when we come back up north and if we visit the island, we will be in touch. Thanks for making your house available, the family loved it. My daughter wants a bedroom just like the one she had!

  • Everything we needed

    on 06/03/2012

This place was exactly as described and more. We had a beautiful one week stay. The owners have taken great care to decorate this home tastefully and comfortably. Everything we needed was there - we even brought with us many unnecessary things, such as speakers for our iPod (there were iPod docks in every room). We chose to rent this place because we wanted to be able to do our own cooking and avoid the constant rich and indulgent meals of resorts and restaurants. We were able to find everything we needed in the kitchen to make beautiful meals - they even had a number of Caribbean cookbooks that we delved into! There are two well-stocked grocery stores virtually next door, a market with fresh fish, and several excellent restaurants if you don't want to cook. We were impressed with the attention to detail in every room, and the quality of furnishings, linens, etc. Catherine, the maid, was an absolutely lovely lady and we enjoyed chatting with her each day. The area was so convenient and quiet - I miss going to sleep listening to fish jumping in the harbour! It was the best week of sleep I have had in years! I can't say enough about how wonderful our week in this beautiful villa was, and we felt that the price was very fair. We visited during Spring Break in our province, and a one week at nearby all-inclusives was going for $2400 minimum. Our trip was much less inexpensive and probably far more comfortable. We loved this place so much that we made a pact not to share details with colleagues at work for fear that they would compete with us for dates should we wish to return!
