Scotch on the Rocks is a beautiful holiday villa in Jamaica’s famed town of Ocho Rios. The home was built by Scottish Lord, The Earl of Mansfield and is now owned by members of the Red Stripe Beer family.
The villa has been renovated, making everything feel and look shiny and new. Neutral toned walls are paired with vivid block colour, and smooth Italian Travertine fit nicely with homely mahogany floors. Scotch is spacious and relaxed. Wooden dining tables & chairs are rustic and beautiful, making for a fun and sociable dining experience courtesy of your in-house cook who won’t hesitate to concoct an authentic Jamaican treat.The villa’s tropical garden has plenty of secret places to meditate and relax in.
A stone table and benches provide space for peaceful contemplation. From the home, you will find stone steps leading down to a private and sparklingly clear cove where you can swim, snorkel, kayak or simply unwind in the shallow waters. Two adjacent benches sit under a shelter on a waterfront deck, which is a wonderful way to enjoy the serenity of the water without actually getting wet. The waterfront deck sits in the shallow end of the sea beside an outdoor shower for washing off any remnants of sand.
Scotch on the Rocks is any beach lovers paradise and the plethora of outdoor space takes full advantage of the brilliant climate.

- Please note that you will need to select 10 guests should you wish to have access to all 5 bedrooms. Those selecting fewer guests will only have access to a prorated number of bedrooms based on 2 guests per room.
- Remember, it is customary to pay a 15% Gratuity fee before leaving your Villa in Jamaica

Rainforest Adventures Mystic Mountain in Ocho Rios is where you can indulge in thrilling Jamaican rainforest adventures. Make memories exploring exotic and picturesque locations and make sure to bring your camera along for some breathtaking snaps. Up in the mountains, you’ll be able to partake in exciting activities deep in the heart of the island’s glorious nature. After all the exploring, you can kick back and indulge in the Mystic Mountain infinity edge pool and restaurant.
Half an hour drive away lies James Bond beach. The beach is small but the quietness and serenity of this location will captivate you, not to mention the ivory-white sands and unique rock formations. Mornings will be simply heavenly here, where you can go for a solo stroll or a light jog in complete peace. James Bond beach is a hot spot for an array of small sea creatures and lies hidden off from the bustle of island life. If you want a change from the tranquillity, paddle boards and kayaks are available to rent for a small fee – have fun exploring the magnificently clear sea!
The beach is home to a few nearby shops as well as two slides and a bar. The bar sells tasty local treats including fresh fish, jerk chicken and cold beer. Grab a bite and a bottle and sit on one of the beaches many shaded spots.

Prior to Booking
Please be aware that Jamaica is an island nation that experiences weather patterns dictated by the Atlantic Ocean to the north of the island and the Caribbean Sea to the south of the island. This tropical rainforest climate results in the island experiencing a hurricane season, which usually occurs between June to November. Tourists who are British Citizens will not require a visa upon arrival and Departure Tax is included in most flight costs. Please check Entry Requirements before departure.
Getting There
Jamaica has two international airports, Donald Sangster in Montego Bay and Norman Manley, Kingston.
From the US:
There are many direct flights with Jet Blue, Caribbean, Delta, American and United from cities including New York, Chicago, Miami, Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas, Houston and Philadelphia.
From the UK:
There are direct flights to Montego Bay from Gatwick and Manchester with American Airlines, British Airways or Virgin Atlantic. Glasgow and Belfast passengers can also fly via the US with United Airlines.

Villa Staff included at this property:
A full-time dedicated cook, assistant cook, butler, gardener and housekeeper / laundress attend exclusively to your villa.
Your cook will handle grocery shopping and meal preparation. They will pre-purchase your first few meals plus pantry staples, then finish the week's shopping after meeting with you. At week's end, they will present receipts for all food and beverage and reconcile your account. A typical grocery budget is $55-$65 per adult per day and $20-25 per day for preteens. This may vary up or down depending on market prices and menus.(more luxurious items such as shrimp, lobster, imported meats and Champagne will incur a further charge).
Your cook will also pre-purchase a small starter bar (a few bottles of Red Stripe, moderately-priced wine and rum). Additional alcohol requests will increase your budget. If you wish to go to the various markets with them, you are welcome. Otherwise, simply review your tastes and distastes with them and they'll handle it all while you stay at the villa and relax.
A nanny can be arranged for an average of $12 per hour. Guests should plan to add approximately $20 per day for food for their nanny.

- A 50% Client Deposit may be requested during Festive Bookings.
- A obligatory Gratuity rate of 15% of the overall booking is due to be paid to the Staff before departure. Please plan to pay in Cash (US Dollars or the local currency).

If you want pure luxury, then I can recommend Scotch on the Rocks!
We had the most amazing time at Scotch on the Rocks. This place is perfection, a paradise here on earth by the sea. There is a full staff, housekeeper, cook, butler, gardener and security guard who treat you with care and concern. The rooms are large, airy and comfortable and each has a lovely balcony overlooking the sea. The food is 4 star and their cook should receive a medal. The grounds are full of flowers, shady areas with benches and tables, plus paths to follow. Birds fly around and butterflies. The pool is wonderful and the dock on the sea has everything.

If you’re looking for an amazing day from start to finish, look no further! The stunning views of the sea are how you begin your day and it only gets better from there. The staff is outstanding, always there for you but not invasive; the food delicious and fresh, and the cook was most accommodating to our dietary needs. The home is beautifully appointed with and all doors leading to outdoor patios to enjoy the ocean breezes. The rooms and the beds are comfortable with high quality linens. The ocean gazebo is equipped with kayaks, paddle boards and snorkeling gear and there are coral reefs all around to explore. If you prefer the pool then rely refinished pool is perfect for relaxing. An amazing vacation for families, couples or bff’s not to be missed!

Amazing Vacation
This property exceeded our expectations. We have booked houses online before and we are never certain if the online pictures will match the reality. In this case, reality was better than the pictures.
The location is amazing - right on the ocean. The balcony overlooks the water and there are easy steps down to the ocean dock. We spent our time at the dock swimming or on the balcony relaxing.
Where this property really stands out though is the staff. They take care of absolutely everything for you - cooking, groceries, cleaning, laundry, entertaining, scheduling tours, shopping - your vacation is complete relaxation.
We went with friends and had a fantastic time. As soon as we left, we started planning our next trip to bring our children to this outstanding vacation spot.
The location is great, the house and ocean are amazing - but what made this out best vacation ever was the wonderful and kind staff. We most definitely will be back!
