Loch Lomond Manor Reviews

  • A beautiful and enchanting home

    Created on 30/05/2017

I am struggling to find the words to eloquently put how much of a wonderful time we had at your beautiful and enchanting home.

4 days was not long enough to take in all the character and feeling the house contains. From the moment we entered the house it felt like home and we drew many similarities between our families. Not 15 minutes would pass without us finding something that would get our brains creating stories and trying to distinguish where in the blend of history the original house story would end and your family's story begin.

Emma has been emotionally drained by the house. The house smell (in a good way) and its contents instantly reminded her of her Grammy and the loving time she spent at her house. Her Grammy was a history & art enthusiast and surrounded herself in books new and old. She loved the Glasgow Boys. Emma never thought she would discover these senses that would generate such reaction. I know she would have loved her Grammy to have seen the house.

My brother David loved sitting in the front room reading the books as his Wife Asani played the piano. My boys loved the outdoor space playing football on the lawn and down at the swings and the burn. Oliver liked pushing the old Silver Cross pram.

We are a family with 4 children, 3 close in age and the 4th a lot younger. We are 4 boys ranging 24-32-34-36. The kitchen garden is very similar to our family home.

My Mum loved all the original Taps etc throughout the house this is the look that she has spent her time replicating throughout the house. The amount of times I heard her say O Bob look at this, Look at these.

Sorry I seem to have rambled on. I just didn't feel it was doing your wonderful home justice just to say we had a pleasant stay.

I thank you for allowing us to create a lasting memory that we will cherish and review for years to come.

  • Such an interesting house with all that history.

Hi,just to say Thank you so much for all your help and for letting us use your wonderful house. We had a great time! Did Hill House (inc the choc cake) on weds and been on lots of walks and boat trips. The boys were very fond of your garden and we played lots of hide and seek! Such an interesting house with all that history. Rob and I had dinner at river hill last night. Left you a bottle of wine. Many many thanks x

  • It really is beautiful

I just wanted to say thanks for a wonderful time at your house. It really is beautiful and very easy to understand why your family has loved it so much.

  • Thank you for a most wonderful stay

    Posted by LC on 29/08/2016

Thank you for a most wonderful stay at your gorgeous house in Helensburgh. It was a lovely ending to our two month holiday in Scotland.

  • An amazing building!

    Posted by Will on 18/08/2016

Thank you so much for letting us use your house - what an amazing building with so many stories within it. I imagine your family had a wonderful time growing up there. It was pretty apocalyptic weather when we arrived but we had a good time on the seafront. The Glengoyne distillery is fantastic and we really enjoyed our tour there.

Thank you again, particularly for Charlie who was a trooper ferrying us around at times!

  • Your house is absolutely amazing.

    Posted by Lisa on 19/07/2016

I just wanted to say we had a fantastic time. Your house is absolutely amazing and I am so pleased I came across it. The kids absolutely loved the garden in particular the tyre swing. Wesley was very helpful and recommended a great place to go for Sunday lunch. My mum and dad really enjoyed it too and made our trip extra special. Would happily recommend your home to all my friends and family. I hope we are able to come back one day.

    Thanks LL

  • What an honour to stay in a place like your house

"we had such a great time at your place. It was even more impressive seeing and experiencing the house in reality.

We all know, what an honor it was getting the opportunity to stay in a place like your house. It has so much soul, and I felt immediately at home." 25th Feb 2016

  • Beautifully designed house

Posted by Mrs S on 30/12/2015

We've had the most wonderful Christmas in this beautifully designed house. Our kids are 7 and 8 and so the little house outside, the rope swing and the open fires have been perfect for them - even in the rain! We've also had Grandparents staying who can't walk too far so they have enjoyed the tranquil atmosphere of the sitting room. Mrs S
