Bamburgh Cottage offers a stunning, large country holiday home, situated in Northumberland, just six-miles from Bamburgh and the picturesque coastline. Boasting breath-taking views out to Budle Bay, there an air of romance to this holiday house, creating an atmosphere that warms and welcomes you in, so you will never want to leave!

The cottage is modern and stylish throughout, yet maintains a warm atmosphere, that you can fully settle into, making yourself at home. The house sleeps ten guests, designed for eight adults and two children, so ideal for families looking to explore this history and charm of this area. Spread out over three spacious and bright floors, there is plenty of room for the whole group. On the ground floor, you will find a beautiful lounge, with large bi-folding glass doors opening out to the terrace, so in the summer months you can move inside and out with ease. When it gets to cooler times of year, the cosy sofas and electric fireplace form a protective, calm space, where you can shelter indoors, playing games and talking as a family. There is a fully-equipped, family style kitchen with a breakfast table and a sociable dining room where the whole group can come together and spend quality time. Stepping up to the first floor, you will find four fabulous bedrooms. The master bedroom offers a stunning, bright space, with unbeatable views, that are a dream to wake up to! Boasting an en-suite and a private balcony, this room feels like a real luxury, a special, well-deserved treat for your holiday. There is also an en-suite double room, and a double and twin room that share a family bathroom. The final spacious double bedroom can be found on the top floor, with a private bathroom and more beautiful views over the surrounding area.

Surrounding Bamburgh Cottage, there is an acre of luscious lawned garden with a play area for children, and a three-acre paddock to explore with stunning, far-reaching views out to Budle Bay. At all times of year, these beautiful outdoor areas are worth exploring, a private, unforgettable oasis away from the hustle and bustle of day to day life.

Bamburgh Cottage is situated just a couple of minutes off the A1, just west of Bamburgh, making it a great spot for you to explore the rest of Northumberland.  Belford is the nearest town, which is only 5 minutes away in the car, where you’ll find smaller shops and places to eat.

This beautiful cottage enjoys spectacular views over the beautiful Budle Bay. Bamburgh Beach itself, offers a mile of uninterrupted sand and dunes between Budle Bay and Beadnell, with gorgeous views of Bamburgh Castle across the beach. This stunning area of Northumberland, offers more than you could ask for, whether you are looking for picturesque beaches, castles, fortified houses or stunning countryside! Besides Bamburgh Castle, these include Alnwick, Chillingham, Dunstanburgh, Lindisfarne, Norham and Warkworth.

Trips to the beautiful, well-known Farne Islands can be taken from nearby Seahouses, where vast colonies of seals, puffins and other seabirds can be seen up close, this always a popular trip, particularly for families. Edinburgh and the Borders are easily accessible, as well as Kielder Reservoir and it’s Observatory for viewing the famous dark night skies.

The National Trust owns three of the major properties in the area, all worth visiting during your stay: Wallington Hall, Cragside and, a recent acquisition, Seaton Delaval Hall. For those who prefer wondering outside rather than in, the world-famous gardens at Alnwick are a must visit, popular with kids and adults alike.

We would also recommend taking a trip to Hadrian’s Wall, perfect for long walks and finding rural, timeless English pubs! Holy Island of Lindisfarne is accessible by a tidal causeway to the north of Bamburgh. The tarmac causeway becomes totally immersed by the sea twice a day, so make sure you time your visit carefully!

With so much to do, this fabulous holiday home, is the perfect base for exploring the beautiful Northumberland, a truly unique part of the United Kingdom.

- Please confirm is a cot, highchair and stairgate are required.

Bedding
Feather bedding and pillows are provided on each bed. There is no alternative available.

Dogs
Dogs can not be left unattended in our House. If you wish to visit somewhere where dogs are not welcome, such as a country house, a restaurant or go on a boat trip, The owner can arrange dog sitting for you. Their charge is £8 per hour (paid to the sitter direct).

Accessibility
Accommodation over 3 floors. On the ground floor, there is the lounge, dining room, kitchen, play room, utility room and WC. On the first floor there is Bedrooms 1, 2, 3 and 4, as well as the family bathroom. On the second floor there is the large Bedroom 5 and en suite within the room.

These terms and conditions may be amended from time to time.

Security deposit £250 paid directly to the property owner prior to arrival. It is refundable provided no damage, loss or additional cleaning occurs during your stay.

    We came to Bamburgh Cottage this year for my wife’s birthday along with 8 other mates. The beauty and tranquillity of the home has added to a perfect weekend catching up with our friends. The scenery is spectacular and we were blessed with sun for 3 days! Thank you for sharing this wonderful spot in the county.
