Beaufort Manor is a majestically restored period home, standing regally in its own grounds, dating to the eighteenth century, nestled at the foot of the McGillicuddy Reeks mountain range in County Kerry.
This sumptuous Georgian home is classically handsome, with a gorgeous facade showcasing three storeys of generously proportioned rooms, overlooking sweeping, elegantly-maintained lawns, with mountain views as well as overlooking the historic Castle Corr.
This magnificent home sits alongside the Beaufort Golf Course, one of Kerry’s finest, where guests can enjoy a complimentary round of golf just a stroll away!
Beaufort Manor has six stunning bedrooms, each with their own bathroom and can comfortably sleep twelve to fourteen guests, thus making it ideal for family get-togethers and celebrations within the grandeur and refinement of a large stately home.
This sedate home offers all the beauty of classical architecture blending seamlessly with every contemporary comfort. The interiors offer refined elegance, plush fabrics, roaring open fires and abundant period features; the views across the sweeping lawns and mountains are striking, whilst the lawns are resplendent without being over-manicured.
Guests can spread out, enjoying the calm tranquillity of the reading rooms, the opulence of the large dining room with accents of crimson velvet; the drawing room has an array of impressive oil paintings, antique polished wood furnishings and gilded mirrors.

Little Sustainability Gems About the Property
The property was refurbished a number of years ago and most of the electricity is powered by solar panels and air-to-water systems, making the heating and running of the house very efficient. It was built in 1740, and some of the stone used was from a castle on the estate that's from the 15th Century, so it helps to preserve local heritage.

About the surrounding area of Beaufort ManorBeaufort Manor is set in the charming village of Beaufort on the southern banks of the river Laune, acting as a gateway to the majestic McGillycuddy Reeks. This naturally beautiful spot boasts Ireland’s highest mountain, Carrauntohill, that draws thousands of climbers each year.
Rich in heritage, Beaufort boasts an array of historic attractions, whilst the river Laune is known for its salmon and trout fishing. The Old Dunloe Castle and Corr Castle date back as early as the thirteenth century, whilst locally there are options for pony trekking, cycling tours, hiking trips and the nearby world famous Gap of Dunloe.
The Beaufort Golf Club offers visitors an eighteen hole course with majestic views.

What was it about the property that you first fell in love with?
Loved the long sweeping driveway that leads to this majestic home that still had the old world charm but is extremely cosy inside.
Are there any interesting stories in its history?
There is a cast from the 15th Century on the 15th Green in the golf club next door (Beaufort Golf Club). Stone from this castle was used to build the house. You can see this stone as you make your way to the basement for the games and TV room.
Do you have a favourite room in the property?
I love the morning room as it is a great room to light a fire in the winter and curl up with a good book or bask in the sunshine in the summer, also with a good book!
For anyone coming to stay is there anything in the surrounding area they should...Really do? Really eat? Really see?
The surrounding area is magnificent and is known and marketed as The Reeks District with the world famous MacGillycuddy Reeks Mountains being the center piece. There is a wildness about the place and you can do some many fantastic walks, cycles etc.
Lastly, what insider tip would you pass on about the property or the area?
Do a guided walk or cycle and make sure the guide is local so that you get brought to the best places. We are also not far from the Wild Atlantic Way and I would suggest taking a day at the beach, even if it is just for a walk.
