Harbour Cottage is Set directly on the harbour front in the amazingly picturesque village of Mousehole. Originally a two bedroom cottage it has been totally renovated and transformed into an exceptional seductively romantic retreat for two.

Materials used internally reflect those seen from the cottage overlooking the sea. Rough granite juxtaposed with Cornish 'shrimper ' coloured lime render, walls clad with worn wooden planks, ropes and rusty chains… this is certainly not your average cottage but a unique and beautiful space, perfect for a romantic escape or honeymoon.

On entering there is a hall and cloakroom/WC. Beyond is an open plan kitchen and sitting room which has a glass panel in the ceiling giving the impression of double height space. There is a large comfortable sofa, a smart TV /DVD and a wood burning stove... great for cozying up on cold winter nights!

The first floor has sail loft style being a large space with stone walls and double height ceiling. The bespoke headboard doubles as a room divider and dressing table with plentiful storage for clothes. Behind this is a huge walk in shower, from which there is also a view of the sea and a hammered bronze basin. A super king size custom made bed sits against the headboard inset with rows of rope and chain. From the bed the scenes of bobbing boats, harbour wall and waves crashing beyond is magnified through the glass floor allowing views from the ground floor, first floor and sky lights to merge into one. This property is one of a kind.

Parking is extremely limited in Mousehole, there are three options: – Closest to the house are two harbour car parks, about a 3-minute walk around the harbour – There is a larger car park adjacent to the Old Coast Guard hotel about a 7-minute walk towards the edge of the village – Finally there is street-side parking on the road into Mousehole about a 15-minute walk from the house.

Harbour Cottage is located on Mousehole harbour front. Within a five minute walk you can find exceptional restaurants including The Old Coastguard, Number2 Fore Street and The Ship Inn, to name but a few. In addition there are various lovely delis and galleries hidden within the narrow lanes in the village. Mousehole is a picturesque fishing village on the south coast of Cornwall between Penzance and Land’s End. Its narrow streets are filled with small shops, galleries and restaurants.
