Nestled amongst 17 hectares of unspoiled woodland, Sublime Comporta is the eco-friendly resort dreams are made of. Truly one with the nature that surrounds it, Sublime Comporta invites guests to relax and unwind in nature for a Portugal holiday like no other. Their dedication to sustainability and utilising the power of nature is felt nowhere better than in their exquisite Cabana Bio.

Overlooking one of Europe’s largest biological pools, Sublime Comporta offers nine elegant cabanas that flow directly into their own private swimming pools. The waters of your bio-pool are kept fresh using nothing more than the power of nature, foregoing the use of man-made chemicals and disinfectants. The Cabana Bio is a great choice for anyone sensitive to standard swimming pools and the chemicals commonly used in pool cleaning.

Each Cabana Bio was designed with inspiration from the locals of Comporta village, particularly the décor and interior stylings of the local farmers and fishing folk. Your cabana effortlessly combines modern luxury with rustic cosiness in the heart of a thriving habitat for local species.

Inside the cabana, your Cabana Bio is a cosy retreat made up of an open plan living space that combines bedroom and living space, a bathroom and terrace which overlooks the pool itself. Each cabana offers a king-size bed for your rest and relaxation as well as a living area with sofa and fireplace that look out over the terrace and pool. The terrace features two large day beds which you can use for lounging day and night.

Across the wider resort, you’ll find that Sublime Comporta is a haven of rest and relaxation, with a focus on wellness at its core. When not using your bio-pool, you can make use of the resort’s two luxurious swimming pools for adults – one indoors and one outdoors.

There’s plenty to get involved in around the resort; from an on-site spa, bike riding trails, yoga sessions and food and drink experiences. For on-site dining you have a pool bar, a lobby bar and three restaurants to choose from:

Sem Porta, Elevated Portuguese and Alentejo dining.
Food Circle, sustainable ‘farm-to-table’ dining experience.
Tasca da Comporta, traditional Portuguese dining.

On days you wish to visit the beach, Sublime Comporta provides guests with their own ‘residents only’ beach club right on the sands of beautiful Carvalhal beach, just ten minutes away from the resort. The beach club provides everything you need for an unforgettable day on the sands, a bar, a restaurant and loungers for basking under the sun.

THE REGION

Comporta is surrounded by rice paddies, the ocean, sand dunes and pine forests. It's a unique place where you can connect with nature and live in the moment. Comporta has a rhythm and an ambience that are all it's own. This wild and unspoilt part of Portugal attracts an in-the-know international crowd, including renowned artists, designers, and A-listers.

Comporta has a remarkable diversity of natural systems with long stretches of beach, windswept dunes, scenic pine forests, salt marshes and rice paddies which become a vibrant green in June. The region is also characterized by rice fields and its main attraction, the Comporta beach: 20 kilometres of uninterrupted white sand, a beach lover’s paradise.

As with the rest of Portugal, you can expect sun-blessed weather year-round in Comporta. The best months of the year to visit Comporta for long beach stays are from June to September, while the spring and autumn months are still suitable for picnics or day trips.

ABOUT THE LISBON COAST

The Lisbon Coast is a sensational stretch of golden beaches, wave-lashed cliffs and vibrant seaside towns – but there's more to the Atlantic coastline than that. Delve beneath the surface to discover hidden coves, family-owned seafood restaurants and pristine natural parks.

The coast around Lisbon provides an easy, breezy escape from the capital, whose proximity has made it the stomping ground of kings for the last 1,000 years. In summer, Lisboistas stream into elegant Comporta and Cascais to escape the heat of the city; year-round, surfers hang loose on the coast, waiting for the rollers to crash down on the sand.

But while you're enjoying one of our fantastic villas on Lisbon Coast, you may well want to take some time out from all that sun worship to explore everything else the region has to offer – so we've put together this handy travel guide to give you a little help and inspiration!
