The beautiful Villa Ferragudo was once the home of a royal princess and to this day still remains in the ownership of a Portuguese Royal family. Perched on the cliffs overlooking the bay of Ferragudo in the western side of the Algarve, it is the perfect choice for a luxurious villa holiday to Portugal. Villa Ferragudo boasts beautiful views over the stunning bay and beach below and even has its own private access.

Situated over 3 levels, the villa can sleep up to 19 guests. Villa Ferragudo has been completely refurbished and updated with modern facilities throughout to create a unique yet comfortable property. The original furniture has been restored to help maintain the traditional features and incorporate the family coat of arms.

The drawing room has patio doors leading to a lovely balcony with beautiful coastal views. The lower ground floor also has a bedroom, perfect for children with 3 single beds and leads directly out to the pool terrace.

Head outside and enjoy the various terraces with plenty of areas to relax, soak up the sunshine and admire the views. Take a dip in the private swimming pool or relax on the sun loungers.

The Villa

Located on the Western side of the Algarve, the house is perched on the cliffs of Ferragudo. It faces West over the bay of Lagos and towards Sagres and the setting sun. The view is of the peaceful waters of the Algarve coast and yachts making their way from the marinas and of fishing boats passing in front of the house.

THE REGION

Portimão is the largest city in the western Algarve and was traditionally a centre for shipbuilding, sardine fishing and fish processing. Today, most of that industry has been replaced by tourism, leisure and retail, leaving Portimão as a large and residential city. Perhaps the most attractive part of the town is the riverfront which runs from the marina to beyond the road bridge. There are several squares along this stretch, which become increasingly less touristy as you head away from the marina.

Of course, Portimão is probably best known for the fantastic beach of Praia da Rocha. Located about 3 km south of the town, this is one of the most impressive stretches of sand on the Algarve coast. Take a trip up the Rio Arade and explore the local area, or get out and active in the sunshine. Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions may be amended from time to time.

Security deposit €1,500 charged to the client's credit card as a pre-authorisation at least 2 weeks prior to arrival and refunded two weeks after departure, subject to a full inspection.
Arrival time 4 pm
Departure time 10 am
Energy costs included? Yes, included in the rental price.
Heating costs included? Not included in the rental price, winter house heating extra €300 per week to be paid with the balance to Oliver's Travels.
Linen & towels included? Yes, included in the rental price.
Pool towels included? No.
End of stay cleaning included? Yes. However, guests are required to leave the accommodation clean, tidy and in the same condition as on their arrival. Any extra cleaning, laundry, maintenance and/or garbage disposal required will be charged against the security deposit.
Internet access? Wi-Fi internet access included.
Minimum stay 7 nights. All other durations on request.
Changeover day Saturday.
Pets welcome? Not allowed.
Smoking Allowed? Smoking & Vaping are not permitted.
Pool heating charge? For those who require pool heating, there will be an additional charge of €300 per week (to be paid to OT prior to travel). Please note that like all heated pools, pool heating and water temperature are reliant on weather and outside temperatures.
Tax Tourist Tax is included in the rental price.
Insurance Guests are required to be in possession of a valid insurance policy, which covers them for cancellations, loss of personal belongings, personal liability and any accidental damage caused during their stay.
Other Ts and Cs The rental price includes cleaning service 5 days a week, during week days and excluding bank holidays. Linen is changed every 7 days and towels are changed twice a week. There is a housekeeper and a gardener that look after the house on weekdays.

    I just wanted to tell you that we had a wonderful time at the Villa. All 14 of us (7 adults & 7 kids) enjoyed the space, walking to the beach and exploring the little towns close to the Villa. While some of the pictures on the website of the rooms were decorated differently & missing the piano, the views from the outdoor patios were fabulous, the housekeepers were quite lovely and the handy man/gardener charming.

    It was a terrific vacation for our whole family.
