Villa Karoubatika is a beautiful villa located in a charming hamlet of the same name, near to the popular village of Agios Ioannis, boasting acres of space both inside and out. Located less than 2km from the shops, restaurants and the lovely village square in the traditional and picture postcard village of Agios Ioannis, this really is a wonderful and idyllic spot from which to unwind. The location of the villa is ideal as it is only 8km from airport and 9km from Corfu town with easy access to two very sandy beaches like Kontogialos & Glyfada it gives you privacy while you can easily find everything in quite short distance .
This modern designed villa is constructed over two floors with the ground floor living area particularly spacious and bright, and with large patio doors leading out to the front terrace, allows attentive parents to supervise the younger family members splashing about in the huge private swimming pool from the comfort of the lovely outdoor al fresco living space, a perfect vantage point for the hotter parts of the day! With five bedrooms, including two bedrooms with external access on the lower ground floor, this is a perfect villa for groups of friends, or a larger family.
This truly is a serene setting, with attractive gardens, a fabulous private swimming pool, and less than a 10-minute drive from the lovely sandy beaches of Glyfada and Pelekas, where you can also find abundant resort facilities, what more could you possibly ask for from a holiday villa.
What you should know…
- There are not restaurants within walking distance, as this is a rather rural location - it is best to hire a car during your stay
- Guests travelling with younger children should be aware that the annexe is not connected to the main building making it perfect for teenagers or couples holidaying together!
- You can request daily housekeeping or transfers for an extra cost

About the surrounding area of Villa KaroubatikaThe scenery around the picturesque village of Agios Ioannis makes you believe that you’ve stepped back in time; such is the natural beauty and abundant evidence of how things used to be. Rolling hills draped in olive groves, lush valleys swathed in all varieties of citrus trees and an explosion of cypress trees lining the scenic, pastoral paths and side roads.
Another of the key selling points of this charming village is the fact that you have gorgeous views as far as the eye can see from wherever you have the good fortune to be based whilst holidaying up here and it’s less than a ten-minute drive down to the fabulous sandy beaches at nearby Pelekas and Glyfada.
Corfu Old Town has been named World Heritage Centre by UNESCO - its cobblestone streets and quaint shops displaying history as you walk around them, and it can be reached in less than 20 minutes by car. So you’re not exactly stuck in the middle of nowhere, even if that’s how you actually feel up here in the stunningly beautiful village of Agios Ioannis.

How to reach Corfu island
There are two ways to get to Corfu island: either by flight or by ferry.
By plane: During April to October, several direct flights arrive to "Ioannis Kapodistrias" Airport from Europe as Corfu is one of the most popular travel destinations in Greece. During these months, the airport also receives many domestic flights every day from Athens and Thessaloniki.
By ferry: Travelling by ferry is the most popular way of transport in Greece. Ferries to Corfu depart from Patra and Igoumenitsa. If you are travelling from Europe, Corfu is easily accessible by ferry from Venice, Bari, Brindisi or Ancona too. Best Suited For: All AgesVilla Karoubatika is set in 4000 square metres, featuring lovely and well-kept gardens. Topped off with a free form swimming pool, this villa makes the ideal location for a family holiday. There is room for up to 10 guests, and two of the bedrooms are located in its own self-contained apartment, a great choice for a big family holiday and still preserving some privacy.
There is a small playground and a ping pong table - so even the smallest members of the family will be entertained for hours without having to leave the villa!
But of course, it would be a pity to not explore some of the island! There are plenty of boat rides available to check out the island from a different perspective, there is an Aquarium in St. Spyridon and also Aqualand Waterpark less than 10 minutes by car.

Exceptional villa
Lovely villa in large garden with great family pool. Was well stocked with groceries when we arrived and staff were very helpful, coming back several times during the week to clean and change bedding. Everything very well equipped and all rooms en suite. Would highly recommend for large group or family. We were a group of 10 (4 children)
