Villa Kissamos is set out all on one floor and is perfect for wheelchair accessibility if needed. There are two immaculate bedrooms, a twin and a double, decorated in calming neutral tones with exposed stone walls, air conditioning and plenty of storage. The villa shares one bathroom with complimentary toiletries and slippers, a Jacuzzi tub and a shower.
The smart living area is all open plan and features a comfortable sofa bed, breakfast bar/dining area and kitchenette with dishwasher and washing machine. Snuggle up on the sofa in the evening to watch a movie on the satellite TV and for winter holidays you can light a fire for a cosy warm atmosphere.
Outside you’ll find a lovely terrace with a shaded area where you can shelter from the sun and read a book, sun loungers to catch some rays and an infinity pool with stunning views over the mountains and out to sea. The villa also offers free private parking and various extras at a surcharge such as daily housekeeping, laundry and ironing services. You can even hire a masseuse to come to the villa for the ultimate holiday pamper session.
Just a 600m stroll from Villa Kissamos is Drapanias beach so you can go for an early morning dip in the sea and pop back for breakfast or spend an afternoon working on your tan. If you’re interested you can pay extra for fishing or diving lessons from the villa too. The property is also situated 6km from Kissamos Stadium, 22km from Gramvousa and 46km from Chania International Airport. The villa’s host also offers an airport shuttle at an extra charge to make your stay as easy as possible.

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa KissamosVilla Kissamos is located on the western side of Crete – Greece’s largest and most populated island. Just 600m from the nearest beach, Drapanias, it enjoys incredible sea and mountain views. It’s just 46km from Chania International Airport and a short 5km drive to the town of Kissamos, which is also known as Kastelli Port.
Kissamos is a popular seaside town that is unspoilt by tourism, but still offers a variety of attractions for visitors. In the summer there are regular cultural events in the town, allowing you to experience the authentic local lifestyle and take part in traditions. There are also lots of restaurants, tavernas, bars, cafes, boutiques and supermarkets available for your every need during your stay at the villa. The well-kept seaside promenade is a lovely place to enjoy a relaxing lunch or a sip on a glass of wine while enjoying views out to sea.
A magnet for bird watchers, hikers and nature lovers, Kissamos has also established itself as somewhat of an centre for eco-tourism. There are also lots of sightseeing opportunities in the town. You can visit the Archaeological Museum of Kissamos with a fantastic selection of artefacts from the Hellenic and Roman eras; or take a walk down Skalidi street to wonder at the architecture and explore local artisan craft shops. If you fancy going on an excursion, you can also hop on a ferry from the harbour in Kissamos to visit Kithira, Peloponenese and Piraeus. Or take a cruise around Gramvousa and the famous Balos Lagoon.
Love a day at the beach? The island of Crete has some amazing beaches such as Falarsana – one of the most stunning beaches in the Mediterranean –; Episkopi and Petres which are popular with younger crowds; exotic Elafonisi to the south-west of Chania; the unmissable palm forest beach in Vai; and Agios Pavlos in the south with its huge sand dunes.

How to reach Chania
There are two ways to reach Chania: either by flight or by ferry.
By plane: Chania Airport (CHQ) is only a 20 minutes ride away from central Chania. During the summer months, frequents overseas and domestic flights are performed. In most of the cases, there are available buses that connect Chania city and most of the villas. You can also hire a car from one of the many rental companies at the airport, or alternatively get a taxi to bring you right to your doorstep.
By ferry: If you choose to do an island-hopping trip and use the ferry as a method of transportation, then the closest port is in Souda, only 8km from the centre of Chania. Only ferries from Piraeus in Athens or Heraklion in Crete. Heraklion port has a wider choice: you can also take a ferry from other Greek islands like Santorini, Mykonos or Paros, but you will have to take a longer bus ride to reach your villa. Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesFar from the party towns of Malia and Stalis, Villa Kissamos is located on the western side of Crete and is a great location for a family holiday. Perfect for a family with two children, the twin bedroom is located downstairs just off the living area so parents can easily check on younger children while enjoying a relaxing evening in the villa. Outside kids of all ages will of course love swimming and playing in the pool or hanging out under the shade reading or playing games with their siblings.
Just a 600m stroll from the villa is the nearest beach of Drapanias with a sandy and pebbled shoreline and shallow waters that are perfect for little ones to paddle in. Plus if you fancy exploring further afield there are lots of other popular beaches only a short drive away – perfect for building sandcastles, playing water games, snorkelling or practising water sports.

Watercity Waterpark has something for kids of all ages including a wave pool, hydro tubes, free-falling slides, a lazy river, whirlpools and kiddy pools for the little ones. You can also take part in water games and races as a whole family.

Got some dino-ma kids? Then there’s no better day trip than Dinosauria Park! Here you’ll find replicas of ancient fossils, animatronic dinosaur models of all species and fun activities like watching dino films in 5D and even 7D, and the Dinosaur General Hospital where you can see how dino babies are born!
Amazonas Park
Kids can have fun learning about and meeting lots of rare animals and species of endangered birds at Amazonas Park. At outdoor meet and greets you can see macaws, parakeets and cockatoosas well as feeding the friendly donkeys and lemurs.

Beautiful new house
Words cannot describe how good our stay was, from the beautiful new house, exceptionally well presented and clean, to the owner who went over and above for us on every level. Well located within driving distance to Crete’s stunning beaches and surrounded by fabulous restaurants serving the best of local cuisine.
