  • 5 stars!

  • Fantastic stay!

    on 27/07/2019

Excellent well equipped house with lovely pool. In the very hot weather air conditioned bedrooms were much appreciated.

  • Wonderful Week

    on 25/09/2016

To celebrate my 60th birthday my family and some close friends decided to travel to France for a week. I picked this Château some months ago and hoped it would live up to the photos. It did, and more. Christophe and his team provide a superb experience, the Château was equipped with everything we needed and more. Pool, boules court, trampoline, gym, steam room and sauna, everything seems to have been thought of. The Château is on the edge of Lans and only a short distance from St Marcel, which was good exercise to walk to the boulangerie. I can highly recommend the wine tasting Christophe runs, his knowledge and passion for wine shines through his discussion. With Chalon-sur-Sâone only five km away one of our first 'chores' was to go to the Sunday morning market, a very enjoyable experience at a great market punctuated by time sitting in a bar watching the activities on the market and looking forward to the great cheeses, fruit and veg we'd bought for dinner that evening. The acid test - would we like to return one day .... without a doubt. Thank you Oliver's and Christophe.

  • Chateau de la Marquise Thesut

    on 12/10/2013

Our stay at the chateau was fabulous. Christophe is the nicest guy you could meet. he invited us all to his own beautiful house for a wine appreciation experience and shared some of his enormous wine collection with us. The house and gardens are beautifully furnished and maintained with no detail forgotten.
This is the third time we have rented this type of accommodation in Europe for our friends from all parts of the world and we have not had a better experience anywhere.
We would recomend Chateau de la Marquise Thesut to anyone.

  • A wonderful experience in your beautiful Chateau

  • What a great week we had at Chateau de la Marquise Thesut!

    on 16/07/2010

What a great week we had at Chateau de la Marquise Thesut! The chateau has been renovated and decorated by Sylvia, Christophe and their team in such a great and tasteful way and is so complete (even more complete now, since we added an oyster knife) and luxurious, that it exceeded our best expectations. During the week, we travelled along some of the wine routes towards Givry, Rully, Mercurey and Nolay, we visited the poultry market at Louhans, and visited the festival Chalon dans la Rue. We tasted great Burgundy cuisine and wines in various great restaurants near Chalon and Beaune. Most of all, however, we enjoyed the chateau itself, its gardens and the heated swimming pool (especially the kids). The combination of an authentic French chateau, complete privacy, the luxury that the chateau offers and the fantastic region worked so well for us that we will certainly rent one of the chateaux next year!
