For the ultimate Jamaican hideaway, look no further than Discovery Beach Villa. This majestic traditionally designed and decorated Jamaican villa is located right on its own private strip of white sand beach.
At Discovery Beach Villa, leave your cares behind as your every need is catered for, literally, by the villa’s friendly team of house staff. On arrival, your own private chef will take care of groceries and food preparation while a housekeeper looks after cleaning and any laundry needs you may have. A butler is also on hand to help you plan activities and support your needs during your stay.
Within the villa, you’ll find two levels of Caribbean perfection. Bathed in soft whites and accented with dark wood furniture, Discovery Beach Villa is a picture-perfect Jamaican retreat. Nothing is done by halves at Discovery Beach Villa, with ample space and multiple lounge areas to spread out across. On each level of the main house, comfortable living spaces with sofas and TVs are yours to use freely. While outside, a third outdoor lounge is perfect for drinks and conversation in the sea breeze.
Your fully-equipped kitchen offers all the modern conveniences you could need along with a private chef who’ll take care of most of your meals. You can choose to dine indoors in the dining room or outside on a spacious outdoor dining area. A third dining space is also available, located in the garden besides a state-of-the-art grill perfect for enjoying iconic Jamaican jerk dishes.
In the gardens, you can alternate between your own private swimming pool or swimming in the crystal clear sea waters from your private beach. Your beach comes complete with sun loungers and a selection of water sports equipment for you to use, including kayaks and snorkelling gear. At the edge of the property, you’ll find a quiet walkway leading out over the water to a romantic gazebo offering unrivalled views of the Caribbean Sea.
Your own private gym is also yours to make full use of, equipped with essential gym equipment like treadmills, free weights, yoga mats and more.
Discovery Beach Villa can sleep up to twin people comfortable across five bedrooms, each of which offers ample space, its own private en-suite bathroom and stunning views of the villa’s grounds.

- Remember, it is customary to pay a 15% Gratuity fee before leaving your Villa in Jamaica
- Please note that you will need to select 10 guests should you wish to have access to all 5 bedrooms. Those selecting fewer guests will only have access to a prorated number of bedrooms based on 2 guests per room.

About the surrounding area of Discovery Beach VillaSet at the edge of a quiet strip of villas in the Discovery Bay area, Discovery Beach Villa is about an hour’s drive away from Montego Bay Airport. While popular with holidaymakers the world over, Discovery Bay has resisted the rapid growth of nearby resorts.
Discovery Bay is a great choice for holidaymakers who like being able to explore their surroundings enjoying the local social scene without feeling too crowded and busy. Within the Discovery Bay area, you’ll find plenty of locally-run shops, bars and restaurants where you can get to know the local culture first-hand when you decide to leave the haven of Casa.
Your nearest beach, other than the one in your backyard, is Puerto Seco Beach, a beautiful stretch of white-sand beach with a host of activities to enjoy when there.
You’ll find it easy to get out and about in the Discovery Bay area, with traveller hotspots like Ocho Rios just a 45 minute drive away. If not departing from the Ocho Rios area, your villa’s location on the north coast gives you easy access to several of Jamaica’s most popular attractions.

Prior to Booking
Please be aware that Jamaica is an island nation that experiences weather patterns dictated by the Atlantic Ocean to the north of the island and the Caribbean Sea to the south of the island. Tourists who are British Citizens will not require a visa upon arrival and Departure Tax is included in most flight costs. Please check Entry Requirements before departure.
Getting There
Jamaica has two international airports, Donald Sangster in Montego Bay and Norman Manley, Kingston.
From the US:
There are many direct flights with Jet Blue, Caribbean, Delta, American and United from cities including New York, Chicago, Miami, Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas, Houston and Philadelphia.
From the UK:
There are direct flights to Montego Bay from Gatwick and Manchester with American Airlines, British Airways or Virgin Atlantic. Glasgow and Belfast passengers can also fly via the US with United Airlines.

Best Suited For: All AgesWhen bringing kids to Discovery Beach Villa, it’s easier than you think to keep them entertained. While at the residence, kids can enjoy high-speed internet throughout the property, letting them keep up to date with their favourite shows and talk to friends and family back home. On your private beach, kids can try their hands at water sports using the equipment provided like kayaking on the clear blue sea.
In the Discovery Bay area, kids are well catered for with a wide range of activities at Puerto Seco Beach, including more water sports. Just off the coast of the shoreline, a large inflatable waterpark is sure to keep kids entertained for hours on end.
Luminous Lagoon
Just 30 minutes away from Discovery Beach Villa, kids will be able to marvel at one of Jamaica’s most breath-taking natural phenomenon. When the sun goes down, plankton living within the water light up the most enchanting shade of blue, causing the entire lagoon to sparkle and glow. Not just a pretty sight, kids are welcome to swim in the lagoon and see the colours shift and change with their movements.
Green Grotto Caves
For little adventurers, the Green Grotto Caves are a must-see attraction. Playing a significant role multiple times throughout Jamaica’s history, this naturally formed 1.5km cave network is now home to over 20 different species of bat, making for an unforgettable experience for kids and adults alike.

Villa Staff included at this property:
A full-time dedicated chef, butler, housekeeper, gardener and personal laundress attend exclusively to your villa.
Your cook will handle grocery shopping and meal preparation. They will pre-purchase your first few meals plus pantry staples, then finish the week's shopping after meeting with you. At week's end, they will present receipts for all food and beverage and reconcile your account. A typical grocery budget is $65-75 for adults and $35-40 for children. This may vary up or down depending on market prices and menus (more luxurious items such as shrimp, lobster, imported meats and Champagne will incur a further charge).
Your cook will also pre-purchase a small starter bar (a few bottles of Red Stripe, moderately-priced wine and rum). Additional alcohol requests will increase your budget. If you wish to go to the various markets with them, you are welcome. Otherwise, simply review your tastes and distastes with them and they'll handle it all while you stay at the villa and relax.
A nanny can be arranged for an average of $12 per hour. Guests should plan to add approximately $20 per day for food for their nanny.

- A obligatory Gratuity rate of 15% of the overall booking is due to be paid to the Staff before departure. Please plan to pay in Cash (US Dollars or the local currency).

Wonderful Birthday/Family Vacay
About 9 months ago my family began the process of organizing a trip to Jamaica to celebrate my 60th birthday. The staff welcomed us with champagne and attended to every need of our group, seemingly before we even asked. Chef Nicole, our butler, Conroy, housekeepers Peaches and Charm, and groundskeeper, Bigga were amazing. The property is beautiful, and even better than the online photos suggest. There is plenty of room to relax, play, and simply drink in the beauty of Discovery Bay. Chef Nicole prepared a scrumptious birthday dinner, with a chocolate cake that was to die for. Christmas was also in the air. On our final morning, there were rain showers that ended with a gorgeous rainbow. That was a summary of our trip...magical, beautiful, disappointingly fleeting. Bigga asked if we would return. I said, "Definitely". It was a wonderful family vacay.

Picture Perfect
Discovery Beach Villa is as advertised but only better. This was our first time using a service to book a vacation - and it turned out better than I hoped it would have. Everything was beyond amazing and as "white glove" as it could get. Every member of the staff was beyond friendly and attentive to the smallest detail. Nicole (Chef) made authentic Jamaican food as requested and it was incredible - I'm pretty sure I gained at least 5 pounds! Peaches, Charm and Biggum made the villa beautiful and comfortable every day and were an absolute delight to be around. Last but not least, Wayne, the butler (not to be confused with the previous butler named Wayne as well) was awesome and attentive - we all felt very privileged to have such a caring, kind and great crew. Seriously, it was our best vacation ever and we're already planning to go again next year. The beach was amazing, the weather was perfect, the drinks were flowing and the food was to die for. I can't say enough good things about Discovery Beach Villa.
