Daybreak Cottage is dramatically located on a verdant hillside directly overlooking the beautiful blue Caribbean Sea where you can spend your days idly watching the ships go by. Living up to its name, the sweeping views of the sea make Daybreak Cottage the perfect place to enjoy a romantic moment watching the sun rise and set over the horizon. At night, you can enjoy the dazzling lights of Montego Bay glittering in the distance.
Located on a gentle Cliffside in the quiet Unity Hall area on Jamaica’s west coast, Daybreak Cottage promises tranquillity in idyllic surroundings with stunning views of the treeline and sea beneath you.
Your residence is located about 20 minutes from Montego Bay Airport, making it easy to get in and out of town should you wish to visit during your stay. As Daybreak Cottage is located on a Cliffside, we do recommend renting a car for the duration of your stay to make it easier to get out and about. While taxis are inexpensive and easy to book in Jamaica, a car will add flexibility and freedom to your stay.
In the surrounding areas, you’ll find a number of beaches which you can access, and in town you can visit a number of local bars, restaurants and shops. With Montego Bay on your doorstep, however, you may find it preferable to venture into the city for social activities and shopping.
What you should know…
- Please note that you will need to select 10 guests should you wish to have access to all 5 bedrooms. Those selecting fewer guests will only have access to a prorated number of bedrooms based on 2 guests per room.
- Remember, it is customary to pay a 15% Gratuity fee before leaving your Villa in Jamaica
- Guests will be able to peacefully escape from the hot climate with air conditioning installed in all bedrooms
- The Tryall Club requires all villa and guests to become members during their stay via a Temporary Membership Fee

Location
About the surrounding area of Daybreak CottageBy embarking on a half an hour drive, you will find yourself in Sam Sharpe Square. The cobblestone square sits in the centre of downtown Montego Bay and is known for its place in Jamaican history. It is frequented by visitors as it gives insight into the ‘real Jamaica.’ Named after national hero and ex-slave Sam Sharpe who went on to become a leader of the Christmas slave rebellion in 1832. Today, a monument sits in the square commemorating Sharpe’s struggle and fight.
The square is also home to the Montego Bay Museum, an array of lively street vendors selling goods and a small brick and stone structure that used to be a jail for drunks and runaway slaves.
If you’re looking for an adventure, you’ll find one on a jeep safari tour from Montego Bay. View the beauty of the island on a 4x4 Land Rover tour that reveals the landscapes up close in all of their glory. While on the tour, you will be able to see communities that most visitors to the island don’t get to see, as well as a spectacular waterfall and natural mineral pool. Driven by a fantastic and knowledgeable guide, you will discover the nations rich culture and history while viewing it first-hand. From indigenous plants and animals to stopping off at a church that used to be a slave hospital, this will be a trip to remember!

Prior to Booking
Please be aware that Jamaica is an island nation that experiences weather patterns dictated by the Atlantic Ocean to the north of the island and the Caribbean Sea to the south of the island. This tropical rainforest climate results in the island experiencing a hurricane season, which usually occurs between June to November. Entry Requirements
Tourists who are British Citizens will not require a visa upon arrival and Departure Tax is included in most flight costs. Please check Entry Requirements before departure.
Getting There
Jamaica has two international airports, Donald Sangster in Montego Bay and Norman Manley, Kingston.
From the US:
There are many direct flights with Jet Blue, Caribbean, Delta, American and United from cities including New York, Chicago, Miami, Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas, Houston and Philadelphia.
From the UK:
There are direct flights to Montego Bay from Gatwick and Manchester with American Airlines, British Airways or Virgin Atlantic. Glasgow and Belfast passengers can also fly via the US with United Airlines.

Best Suited For: All AgesLittle visitors are well catered for around the island with lots of kid-friendly trips and activities just waiting to be discovered. Although Jamaica is one of the largest islands in the Caribbean it’s very easy to get around, with most day trips being less than a two-hour drive away from Daybreak Cottage. As a major cruise port, Montego Bay acts as a gateway hub for trips and tours around the island, so you couldn’t choose a better place to settle for your stay.
Dunn’s River Falls
One of Jamaica’s most striking landmarks, Dunn’s River Falls is a breath-taking natural waterfall located in the heart of Jamaica’s forests. Located about 90 minutes away from Montego Bay, the drive out to the falls is most certainly worth it. Kids will love being able to climb up the top of the waterfall and explore the surrounding park, discovering new wildlife and getting into the heart of nature.
Zip-line adventure
Slightly closer to home, kids can enjoy a treetop adventure that’s guaranteed to get their pulses running and create lifelong memories. Around 30 minutes from Daybreak Cottage in the heart of the Jamaican forest, kids can try their hand at a dizzying zip-line course that will see them whizzing through the Jamaican canopy.
Good Hope Estate
The Good Hope estate, one of Jamaica’s oldest plantation sites, is now home to a sprawling zero-entry waterpark which kids are sure to love. The 2000-acre site boasts an assortment of water-based activities, including river tubing, six wading pools and a 50ft waterfall kids can try jumping from if they’re brave enough.

Villa Staff included at this property:
A full-time dedicated chef, butler, housekeeper, night watchman, gardener and personal laundress attend exclusively to your villa.
Your cook will handle grocery shopping and meal preparation. They will pre-purchase your first few meals plus pantry staples, then finish the week's shopping after meeting with you. At week's end, they will present receipts for all food and beverage and reconcile your account. A typical grocery budget is $55-$65 per adult per day and $20-25 per day for preteens. This may vary up or down depending on market prices and menus.(more luxurious items such as shrimp, lobster, imported meats and Champagne will incur a further charge).
Your cook will also pre-purchase a small starter bar (a few bottles of Red Stripe, moderately-priced wine and rum). Additional alcohol requests will increase your budget. If you wish to go to the various markets with them, you are welcome. Otherwise, simply review your tastes and distastes with them and they'll handle it all while you stay at the villa and relax.
A nanny can be arranged for an average of $12 per hour. Guests should plan to add approximately $20 per day for food for their nanny.

Villa Conditions
- Bedrooms will be allocated dependent upon ‘Number of Guests’ at the time of Booking. Any unused Bedroom(s) may not be available to Guests.
- A obligatory Gratuity rate of 15% of the overall booking is due to be paid to the Staff before departure. Please plan to pay in Cash (US Dollars or the local currency).
- A 50% deposit may be required for bookings that include Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Years Eve.
- If guests want to access The Tryall Club, they must pay US$26 (plus 15% service charge) per day per person

Thanks again so much for arranging everything, we had a great time! Our stay at the villa was amazing. The staff were all so attentive, I don't think there's a single thing anyone would have changed!
