Alluring tourists since the 60s, the Algarve is famed for its cliffs, scalloped bays and sandy beaches. It’s the perfect holiday destination to reconnect with families and friends, especially after a couple of tiresome months of work, school and general stresses. You see, it has all the ingredients for a fun-packed holiday, whilst still making time for those lazy days – you just need to strike the perfect balance, and our villas in Algarve do exactly that.
We’ve hand-picked the very best holiday homes that will help you discover and fall in love with the Algarve.
Villa Pure Life, Lagoa
There’s something quintessentially magical about Villa Pure Life and it’s yours for the taking. The grounds are simply awe-inspiring, bounded by natural springs, moat, and a man-made private beach, so enjoy the delicious weather and really let go in your very own private sanctuary.
The interior is just as divine, the villa has two storeys that evenly ooze luxury and comfort and the upstairs bedrooms boast the best views of the surrounding landscape. The Portuguese heat is a force to be reckoned with, but thankfully the villa is fully air conditioned, providing the ultimate release for those much needed holiday power naps.

Villa Oasis, Quinta do Lago
Two weeks here will never be enough, but you can relax knowing fond memories will be made. Villa Oasis is uber classy and chic, boasting an array of features like underfloor heating, PlayStation3, and SKY TV – there’s honestly something to keep all members happy.
We don’t like to pick favourites, but on this occasion, the master suite stands apart from the other bedrooms – it features a chaise lounge, a walk-in closet and the balcony overlooks the deep green landscapes. Another unique trait of this villa is the private putting green – sharpen those golfing skills before putting yourself to the real test in one of the nearby courses. A villa holiday here is about collecting moments that you can cherish for a lifetime.

Casa Da Praia, Olhos D’Agua
Beach front views straight ahead. The gorgeous Casa Da Praia holds one of the best locations in the Algarve, in the lovely coastal town of Olhos D’Agua. The open-plan living greets you as you step through the doors and it’s both serene and unforgettable with 180-degree panoramic views of the ocean.
The villa is as luxurious as it looks, if not more, embellished with chandeliers (Sia sing-off anyone?) and high pillars. Guests simply can’t fault this beauty; take your pick from SKY TV, Bose sound system, pool table and even a gym. Hands down our favourite spot in the villa is the outside terrace which teases with a spectacular pool with a wet bar and stools. It’s the perfect hangout to lounge with a cocktail and do absolutely nothing as the hours pass by.

Villa Ferragudo, Lagoa
Fancy feeling like a royal? That and more awaits at Villa Ferragudo. This stunning villa was once the abode of a royal princess and though it still belongs to the Portuguese Royal family – this self-catering villa is free game for all. Great for larger families and friends the villa can sleep up to a whopping 19 guests and has all the mod cons you’ll ever need throughout your stay.
The inside is incredibly charming and still retains the original furniture making the homely aura all that more special. The outside is an abyss of relaxation; deepen that tan on bright yellow loungers, bungee into the private pool or just make some time to do things you love, it’s often the simplest things that give us the most pleasure.

Villa Sal e Acucar, Vilamoura
This bravura villa will transport you to your own corner of the world. Partly due to its elevated position that feels powerful yet secluded, and the views, well they’re truly unreal, on one side you’ll face the countryside and on the other, you’ll face the Atlantic Ocean.
The bedrooms all have en-suite bathrooms (always a massive plus), the kitchen has an island unit that makes cooking together that more intimate and the outside is a little slice of heaven. Feel free to dine al fresco encased by tropical gardens and once you’ve let your meal settle, get your swimsuit on and cool down in the pool. It’s a match made in heaven.

Villa Quinta Mar, Quinta do Lago
This villa ticks all the right boxes, but where do we begin? Just a few minutes’ drive from the splendid beaches of Quinta do Lago, adventure will be in the palm of your hands. The villa sleeps 8, which is a happy amount when you’re looking for a cosy holiday.
The amenities here are superb, you can relax by the TV to catch up on Emmerdale, the kids can run wild in the games room and everyone can come together to enjoy the terrace. If we had to summarise the villa in one word it would be endearing. It’s got everything you can hope for including a luscious pool.

Pine Cliffs Deluxe Villa, Pine Cliffs Resort
A step up from your average holiday villa, these deluxe villas on Pine Cliffs Resort are supreme. Lavish gardens and grand interiors don’t begin to touch the surface of this villas magnitude. The grounds are big enough to not step on anyone’s toes, but not big enough to feel lost.
The design is very modern and contemporary which you’ll see come out in the nude furnishing and decluttered rooms. The villa has a private pool, jacuzzi, loungers and a barbecue which you can use to prep some local produce. Better still you’ll be within walking distance of the resort so you’ll have the freedom of a self-catering holiday and elements of a hotel service – the best of both worlds.

Villa Agua, Quinta do Lago
There’s no better wake up call than the sun shining through your windows and your frown will never be turned upside down here. Directly situated on Lakeside Village Resort, your villa comes packed with a fenced salt water pool, sunbeds and a glorious patio area.
The 3 bedrooms are equally as worthy and each room has an en-suite bathroom for added privacy. Simply sip away at a delicious Caipirinha on the terrace and relish the views over the enchanting lake. You can also indulge in the nearby facilities like tennis court, bars, shops and water activities.

Villa Cloe, Vilamoura
In the exclusive residential area of Vila Sol, you’ll find Villa Cloe. It’s hard not to smile like a Cheshire cat when you choose this holiday home. It’s current and furnished to a high standard – and with 4 bedrooms it’s a great hideaway for families.
If you are bringing kids, know they’ll be happily catered for. The manicured gardens enable them to roam freely, unleashing that morning energy; or they can have a game of shark in the pool. It’s totally up to them. Outdoor dining is essential though if not a must – underneath a shaded terrace area you can flip some burgers in the deluxe barbecue.

Villa Pedro, Boliqueime
Our villas in Algarve are pretty special, and Villa Pedro is no exception to the rule. Nestled in a lovely garden, this villa has heaps to get stuck into, you’ll have your very own tennis court, games room, two pools – one for the kids and a quirky patio area.
The design of the house is very minimalistic, yet the house feels like a home and it’s incredibly comfortable. The kitchen is furnished with a large fridge, which is a massive advantage – there’s nothing worse than doing the food shop for the week and nowhere to put it and the rest of the villa is up-to-date with all the tech amenities. The villa alone is wonderful, but the location is great as it’s only a short drive to the village.
